I just heard that Dick Clark passed away this morning at the age of 82 of a massive heart attack. American Bandstand and Dick Clark's Rockin' New Year's Eve are what I'll most remember him for. How about you?

      My lyric video for "New":

Aww This is sad news to read and hear about Peace and comfort to his family and friends and to everyone who felt some kind of connection. I saw many replays of American Bandstand, and watched Dick Clark production shows along the way .... I best know of watching the ball drop on New Year's Eve. (It was tough to see him do the countdown on New Year's Eve. in these last few years or so ..... but at the same time ..... I knew it took him a lot of work to try and get back on the air for that night) Since I lead such an exciting life .... (shhhh .... I watched many of the New Year's Eve. ball dropping shows ....... at least around Mid-night) .... Rest in Peace Dick Clark

Dick Clark of "American Bandstand" fame has died at age 82. For so long he was called "the world's oldest teenager" or "oldest teen in the U.S." something like that, because of his very youthful appearance and enthusiasms. Would like to think he never stopped loving teenyboppers and their music and dancing passions I don't think he did. When you think of Dick Clark you associate him with the top 40 and new dance crazes and stuff like that.

A bad omen for this 2012 end of the world thing - why else would take away the guy who helps usher in each new year? But seriously - RIP, Mr Clark...Lotta good memories and some unfortunate health issues in recent years...thoughts and prayers go out

Thus his nickname, "the oldest teenager"... He was always so very cheerful and dedicated. He will be missed. RIP

I was so so sad to hear about Dick Clark... he was truly ageless and I can remember being a very young girl, standing in front of the TV listening to Dick Clark and all of the great bands he had on the show. I remember watching the show to learn the latest dances, with my girlfriends. Dick Clark was such a wonderful person... so sad to hear the news. Here's a link of the show and many bands, I believe it mentioned the Beatles listed. Haven't seen which portion of this video it's on. Dick, I know you are in heaven and dancing it up with the angels...
