Dreams

If there is a thread for dreams, I couldn't find one! But I wanted to share last night's dream. There's only a handful of times I can recall dreaming about something Macca-related, but usually it's me meeting him somewhere (or already knowing him and just hanging out) at a concert backstage. This time it was different. I dreamt I was at Mull of Kintyre. It was abandoned and nobody was there, but it was quite beautiful. I compliment my brain/imagination on this one...lol . Everything was so green and vast...detailed and expansive. All I know of the area are a few photos and a handful of YouTube videos. It seemed quite real. The dream ended with me getting ready to leave and the road cracks in half, leaving me stranded there. Kinda strange. Then I woke up with my usual "aw man, that was a dream"...and "I didn't really get to visit". Anyway, I had realized that yesterday, I listened to "Heart of the Country" and actually spent time visualizing the lyrics in a first-hand context. That's my guess as to where the dream came from. I'm not really well-versed on dreams, but they do fascinate me and I do believe they have a significance. As to the extent, I don't know if it's pure imagination, or just REM sleep, or if your soul is indeed leaving your body, or who knows what? I've heard so many theories. I just like to hear about cool ones. Some dreams stick with people their whole lives and others are forgotten moments after waking up. This Kintyre one is gonna stick with me. Hopefully someone out there has some good ones to share...Macca-related or not.

I remember a dream I had when I was 14 about John coming to my house (this was 1969 and he looked just like on the Abbey Road cover except I don't think he had a beard) I wrote it down in my journal so that's probably why I remember it to today. Recently I've had a couple vivid dreams about (finally) meeting Paul and he looks like he does now. It's probably the closest I'll get to the real thing. Whoever here has met him and got a hug or autograph are so damn lucky!

Glad I'm not the only one! haha. I remember about a year ago I had a dream I was waiting in a hotel lobby with Paul and Nancy. That was it. Just us...waiting...in a hotel lobby. Then I woke up. I was like "oh come on, what next?". Never have had George, Ringo, or John in a dream though. I'm waiting for one where I'm on stage with Paul... I wonder what that's like for Paul dreaming about the Beatles or John. Sometimes it must seem surreal. After he mentioned not too long ago about the nightmares about forgetting songs and playing with The Beatles, he must be used to it. I kept a dream journal when I was an early teenager...I would've forgotten most of them had I not written them down. Makes for quite the trip down memory lane.

That is a cool dream. Once, I don't know if I told anyone here, but I went to sleep trying to 'astral travel' to Scotland. I know I was trying to get to Paul's farm. And then I had a dream, it has been a couple of years this occurred. I was at this place off from some type of farmhouse, near where maybe a well used to be or somewhere sheep are, of course I am sure there must be such a place. It was night time. I was searching in the dirt around that area and found this long lost pendant or pin of some sort. It was very old and it had a design of some sort, I can't remember what right now. Then I awoke. So maybe somewhere out on the farm there is such a piece of antique jewelry. I don't know if it is worth a lot of money or anything, but in my dream it was special to someone long ago. (Oh, and there was no one at home at Paul's farm when I was there either...but I did not go inside.) That is my only Paul Scotland Farm dream I can think of...

Once I had a dream on being on Paul's farm. It was like Hobbiton from the LOTR films and I knew Paul was recording some music in one of the mushroom-shaped house. I was climbing up a steep grassy hill which led to the window of where he was. During the climb I was worried that I would be caught and deemed to be someone who was going to cause harm to him. So I had the plan that I had the job of bringing him tea. At some point I had a tray with tea on it but not all the time? It took a long time but I did reach the window, when I looked inside all I saw was some muscical instruments but no sign of life. I did see his famous hofner but for whatever reason I didn't think it was the real one and then the feeling that he wasn't at the farm descended on me. I have dreamt of this 'Hobbiton' place about 2 more times but without significance. It's only a very very brief appearance of the mushroom-like house without any meaningful events. I hope typing this triggers another (more successful attempt) tonight.

Haven't been back to the farm...yet! Even a few days later, that dream is still sticking in the back of my mind. I'd love to go back. I just bought the Rolling Stone McCartney special issue and thumbed through some awesome photos - including the farm. I can't even imagine how peaceful that must have been, and a great place to jam out some music.

He made his return in last night's dream...I was in someone's backyard at a gated-off patio. Up walks Paul. I was there to meet him. It was present-day Paul, but at the same time he looked like this: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v319/njr/Paul%20McCartney%20and%20The%20Beatles/Paul_circa19682.jpg I guess anything's possible in a dream. Anyway, all I remember is asking him if he's going to do more than 4 songs from "NEW" on the 2014 tour and he said "No, I think 4 is enough". Now I know that wouldn't be my question for him, but it is what it is. I got a guitar pic and he autographed a poster. I remember thinking that this was not gonna go with me (when I wake up). Sure enough I woke up and had nothing! lol.

Last night I had this really groovy dream about Elton John. Some of the details have faded, but here are the ones I remember. There was an outdoor/indoor night time concert, but Sir Elton was only playing a couple of songs, as there were other artists performing as well. I felt really out of place as there were all these famous people, but they ended up being very nice and welcoming and Sir Elton took my left hand and led me down to this big black velvet blanket at the front of the stage so I could sit with these people and listen to the music. I was worried cause I did to have anything to wear, but to my surprise I looked down and as he took my hand, I was clothed in this black velvet and golden lame' (with crystals and sequins) floor length gown, a gown which I REALLY own that is in my closet. I was all made up with makeup and hair done and smiling, and everyone was saying how pretty I looked. I was really happy . Sir Elton was such a gentleman. He was very handsome and had such wonderful manners in my dream. I remember drinking champagne and such with the friendly strangers, who made me feel so at ease. Then Sir Elton was back talking to me, and well I can't write anymore about the dream as I would be censored. And yes, I am a woman and so none of this makes any sense in reality. But that is the fun of fantasy and dreams! Ever since I saw him in concert last March I have dreamt of him, darned magick! It is weirdly groovy and lots of fun.

After writing my dream about Sir Elton, I began to try to interpret the dream. And really came up with some interesting things. The part about 'the closet' and my dress being in there, but Sir Elton touching my hand and it magickally appearing on me, is interesting. I also looked up the meanings of the colors black and gold in magick, and the fact he took my left hand, as in the 'left handed path.' I think my dream was for me to embrace my masculine side as well as my feminine side. Like the balance of the two, or the 222. Coincidentally, something I have been doing for a couple of years now.

You do know that Paul has a song called 222, right?
