Regarding this downed Malaysia Airlines plane...
-
First, very sad - my thoughts and prayers to those lost and their surviving families... But I have to say this thing is getting stranger by the minute. They thought they found a fuel slick and possibly debris. Now they're reporting whatever they found is not related to the plane. They're now reporting there is evidence the plane had tried to turn back from before disappearing from the radar screen...and lastly, and perhaps most strange, some of the family members are claiming the victim's cell phones are still operational, although no one is answering them...what's up with this?

If their cell phones are still working, why can't they get a tracer from the nearest cell tower? Not sure how that works, but surely something can be done? If they turned back, I herd that procedure is to radio that intent so other planes would get out of their way. Hope some miracle happened! Prayers to everyone...

This whole missing plane thing is very bizarre and yet as you said also very sad. I can't imagine what all of the family members of the passengers are going through wondering what happened to their loved ones. The fact that it's over 4 days later and there is no trace of this plane anywhere even with so many ships and submarines and airplanes out there looking is very strange and almost scary.
-
It is very strange. I wonder what is up.
-
I've wondered why efforts to search by satellite hasn't (been made public) ... you know they are doing just that ...
-
The malaysian military tracked it for quite some time longer as of the latest...the search area has been largely expanded...gps technology exists to track airplanes constantly...but paranoid economics always gets in the way...wtf

Remember accomplished pilot Steve Fossett who disappeared in a plane. It took them about a year to find it!

True, but that was a very small plane, nothing compared to the size of a 777 with all the bells and whistles as far as equipment goes.

Hmm... it looks like it was going this way. No. Wait, maybe it went thataway. Well. Maybe it landed on this little island. Nah, it probably flew to the moon. : The incompetence makes me feel soooo uneasy.

Turning into a regular Where's Waldo episode...Rolls Royce (makers of the engines powering this plane) says the engines were running for up to 5 hours after the transponders were turned off...this plane could be more than 2500 miles in any direction from the original point of lost contact
-
It's a much larger world than the small one celebrated in song If all the great counties, & all the great women & men Can't seem to find a missing, but huge Boeing 777 ...

How did they know that? Also they must have been flying under radar.

Evidently the engines themselves send some kind of a signal every to either Boeing or Rolls Royce (I wasn't clear which) on a half hour basis while they're running/in use...
-
But just to add (for fair reporting purposes ), the Malaysia govt is claiming the engine signal thing is false
-
Isn't that something. :

Thoughts and prayers for all innocent passengers and families Truth is stranger than fiction many times ... This is some kind of strange and interesting happening ... If it was an empty plane it would make a good story or movie ... even some of the story.

Yes, I agree 100%

Ok - today's update...the authorities are now convinced someone did take over the plane and flew it somewhere intentionally (whether it was the assigned pilots or someone else hijacked it)

Yeah they broke in with the news conference last night when I was watching our local news. The prime minister pretty much refused to say it was hijacked but it obviously was. (Even if it was one of the pilots they still hijacked it) They said the plane could have been flown as far as Kazakhstan.
