New Kid on the Block

Hey there, everyone! My name is Jordan. I'm 18 and I'm from a small town in the middle of nowhere in Kansas. My family and I are huge Beatlemaniacs and Paul fans, but that didn't actually happen until recently. We saw a Beatles tribute band called Liverpool Legends perform in Branson, MO last summer. Of course, we were all slightly familiar with some of their songs, but we didn't really know much about the group. My grandparents were fans back in the day, but never shared their music with us grandkids. Ironically enough, 'Hey, Jude' has always been a favorite song ever since I was a child, but it wasn't until a few years ago when I discovered who it was by and started becoming curious. After watching the Liverpool Legends, however, Beatlemania struck us all and it struck us hard. We bought every album, pored over their entire catalogue, read countless books and magazines, amazed at this phenomenon and that it hadn't hit us before. Our interests spread to their solo careers, and here I am today, obsessing over my idol and hero, Paul McCartney. The Beatles have inspired me to take up music as a newly discovered love and hobby. The only experience I had with music at all was playing Roger in my senior year musical, Grease. I have taken quite the liking to it. I am teaching myself to play guitar, and making great leaps and bounds in singing in my college's choir. Performing Grease last year got me interested in 50s music and culture, and the Beatles launched my obsession with the 60s, and from there, I've developed a fondness for the nostalgia of a simpler time. Most of my peers don't understand my obsession with all things vintage, and some don't even know who Paul is (wat. : ), so I'm super excited to join this great group of Paul fans!

Thank you for the warm welcome!! In recent news: I BOUGHT TICKETS TO SEE PAUL IN KC ON JULY 16!! I turn 19 on July 27th, so this is the ULTIMATE birthday gift. I've never been to a concert before, so the chance to see my hero in concert is INCREDIBLY EXCITING! It's a dream come true!! Now, if only I could actually meet Paul. I have a tattoo on my left forearm of the opening line to Hey, Jude. My absolute dream would be for Paul to sign my arm underneath that quote so I can get it tattooed there as well! It may be a silly fantasy, but either way, I'm just excited that I'm going to get to see Paul live!

WOO HOO!!! Congratulations!!! Your first Paul concert, you are going to have a blast!!! Paul signing for a tattoo is not a silly fantasy, you will find several members here at the message board who have hoped for and had the good fortune to receive a tattoo signing from Paul. If you are sitting within Paul's view, bring a creative sign, one never knows what the future holds!

My first rock concert was Genesis when I was 15. It will be very cool for you that it is a Paul show, but I think you will remember the audience and atmosphere just as much as the actual show itself. Don't forget to have fun!!!! Welcome here too, btw

Thank you, Mr. Spock!! Wow! I'm only sitting on the lower level, so I don't know how big of a chance there is that he'll see me, but I'll definitely brainstorm for some creative signs! It would be unbelievable if I got lucky and he actually signed my arm!!! Thank you, Tom! Beleieve me, I know how special it is that my first concert is Paul!! It's unbelivable! I am SO excited!!!

I know! I am super excited, it's something that is totally new to me, and it's almost beyond belief that my first concert experience is my hero! It will definitely be one of the most memorable experiences of my lifetime!
