My wife, two daughters and I walked toward our seats on the third level at the rear of Atlanta's Phillips Arena Wednesday night.....all four of us thrilled to be seeing Paul if even from a distance. A very pretty young lady approached us, said we looked like a nice family, and asked if we were big fans. She said she worked for Paul, and that he liked to invite people to experience the show closer....and asked if we would be interested in moving up front, with the only condition we had to promise to enjoy the show...... UNBELIEVABLE! The seats were literally front row center. This was the most amazing evening - we feel truly fortunate and blessed! Thank you Paul - I have been a fan since the age of five when I received my first Beatles album. Our daughters were raised on your music. This was a lifelong dream come true for our entire family - what an incredible night!

There is nothing like watching a show from the front row! Great story, David. Thanks for sharing and welcome to our community.

That is awesome for you, but it totally stinks for people who paid $2K and have to sit at the end of the row and not even see Paul (like me)

I understand what you're saying about the $, but what do you mean "not even see Paul?" (I was in the 3rd row directly behind them)

I think she means not see because she was at the end of the row. I had the same problem with $1500.00 seats. My seating charts must have been changed. In fact I know they were because they did away with the middle isles. But anyway...sitting all the way at the end of a row can be really crap...even obstructed by the camera arms. oh...these were diff venues from what show you attended. Maccascruff is talking in more general terms.

I was in the far seat at the concert where I attended, way past the stage. I could only see Abe and Rusty with my own eyes. I watched the concert from the screen which was not what I had thought would happen for that kind of money. It was horrible. I was mislead by Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln as to the seat location or I never, ever would have bought it. I spent my evening either watching off the camera guy's screen or talking to Brian Riddle or MJ Kim. The sound check itself was fun, but I didn't spend the $ for only that. I wanted what will most likely be my last Paul concert to be the most fun. It was the worst one I have attended over the years. I will only go see Paul if he comes to 3 places in the US and all three of those are highly unlikely.

Yes and it has ruined the entire experience for me forever. The freebies should be moved to the sides and those of us who bad the big bucks should be in the center. In Lincoln, those seats were empty until just before the concert as all the people around me were going to just move over. Then suddenly, people appeared front and center.

maccascruff - Well, we "freebies" were happy with our third tier seats, grateful for the opportunity which we most certainly neither sought nor saw coming, and had a blast. The tickets we were given list a face value of "$0.00". My assumption is they never were for sale, at any price. I was really trying to tell Paul thanks..... and still am. I respect your position and view. Have a great evening.

Congrats on the upgrade. That must have been an awesome experience.

That is why I have (twice) gone for the 3rd or 4th row center section. I would never pay $2000 for front row in the side sections. I'm sorry you had such a bad experience and were mislead by the arena people.
