Wow, that was not a fun pre-sale. And, the complete side of the stage, section 8 tickets, usually obstructed view for every other show I've seen at Marcus, is still $286. WOW!
Did you get a ticket? Apparently entire allotment sold out within 10 minutes. I didn't care for what I pulled up so I will have to wait for next sale.
I did, section 6. But it took 24 minutes to finally pull that one up. The rest were corners for just under $300. That's absurd!
Was it row S? That is what I threw back.

Gave up.... only wanted 2 tickets. And because I was asked 100 times...... NO, I am not a ROBOT!
-
Going out on a limb here.... If you find yourself unable to score tickets to this show- I have 2 tickets for Minneapolis on May 4th. FLOOR 3 Row 19. I can set this up through PayPal for your protection. Message me if interested. Map quest says Minneapolis is only a 5 hour drive from Milwaukee!!

i was being greedy and shooting for 2 tickets so I could take my daughter - alas I should have just shot for 1
I needed 3 so that probably didn't help.

A friend is going as well, but we didn't even think about trying for two. We know better. But she did get a ticket, sect, 5, row P. So are we the only ones? At first it said No seats available, but after a couple of minutes one surprisingly came up.

There should be an Amex presale tomorrow at 10AM and a Summerfest presale on Thursday. I will post the code when I learn it.
-
Worst... presale...ever. I've done 5 PM presales in the past and have never experienced anything this bad. Oh well. Guess I'll try for the general sale. Any idea what lawn tickets will go for StubHub after the general sale on Friday? Right now they are almost double face value!!!

I don't think there is a code needed for the Amex presale, you just have to buy with an Amex. However, I've never seen this language before for an Amex presale... are they limiting it to MILWAUKEE cardholders? Tickets for the newly announced dates will be on sale Friday, April 15 at 10am local time. American Express(R) Card Members in Milwaukee can purchase tickets before the general public beginning Tuesday, April 12 at 10am local time through Thursday, April 14 at 10pm at 10pm local time.

Yeah, I also thought that was odd but I doubt that is really the case. A code will be required for Thursday's presale.

No, row B

Have been hearing from Chicago friends they had no luck with pre-sale either. Never been to Summerfest but amphitheater looks like a great venue. The shape makes it look like it'll be a bit more intimate (as intimate as a crowd of thousands can be Razz ). More importantly - it looks like there's a slop in the lower seating which should give my fellow shorties a better view from the floor, as opposed to the flat arena floor.

The venue is intimate and did seem really highly sloped to me when I was there last year. I was in the lower red section and could not understand how lawn seating people could even see.

Hot Sound tickets are available NOW.

I have tried since 10:00 CST on Monday to purchase tickets for the Milwaukee presale, using the 1on1withpaul password. No go. Very frustrating. I've also tried calling Ticketmaster. Also frustrating. Long waits, and automated answers. Yikes. I'm beginning to think that fans are not allowed to purchase tickets. Does anyone know how to go about getting the Milwaukee presale tickets? Thank you!

Try to keep calm and remember that ticketmaster is a (authorized) SCAM! I've come to believe that these presales are what they use to dump most of the mediocre seats for venues. If you've followed some of the other "city" threads, you might have noted that KILLER seats popped up this week for Portland (rows 4-6) and Vancouver (5th row center) just days before the show. When I saw Paul two years ago, I was able to get a single 3rd row seat for two of his shows within the final two weeks prior to the show... I recognize that probably isn't much comfort to you right now - sorry! - because you want to get tix and know you're in, but patience often pays off. It's a bit risky, but it may be worth it. I'm going to Seattle on Sunday and have a mediocre seat, but since I'm going solo, I keep checking ticketmaster for a really good seat. This morning, one could buy FOUR floor tickets about 20 rows back (still not good enough to tempt me). Just remember that seats are OFTEN becoming available and that a "sellout" on day one - which undoubtedly will be announced - still doesn't mean that a bunch of good seats won't likely pop up in the runup to the show.

I heard an interview with a Summerfest official today on WTMJ radio and he said they had been trying for years to book Paul.
Here is link to interview: http://www.wtmj.com/shows/wisconsins-afternoon-news/paul-mccartney-is-coming-to-summerfest

Eric helpfully pointed out that the link from Paul's web site is currently good only for the fan presale option. Open TM separately to pull up the Amex sale options.
