Nancy R:
I had My Love and Here, There and Everywhere played at my first wedding! (so we agree to disagree)
Ah, a wedding! That's something different! And I love Here, There and Everywhere, so we agree on at least one song

No, two songs! I like And I Love Her!

My Love is a great song. So is Long And Winding Road. I would much rather hear them than, say, All Together Now, Ob La Di, or Temporary Secretary.

Nice to have exchanged thoughts about this with you, Nancy R.

Can you explain why you think My Love and TLAWR are great songs, RMartinez?

They were major hits, by any definition, more so than the ones I said I liked less. They are classic melodies, by any definition that can be given a classic pop melody. They have timeless lyrics, one being about Linda, his love, and the other about the unknown road that lies ahead that we all face. Beautiful, powerful ballads. IMO.

Thanks RMartinez. I will listen to them in their original version and think of your opinion. I was always grabbed by Maybe I'm Amazed, because I think it's so passionate, yet almost solemn, and even a little bit on the spiritual side. But perhaps we're getting off topic now.

Cool! Maybe I'm Amazed is fantastic!

We're so sorry he won't play Uncle Albert!
-
He should play Uncle Albert, it would be a lot of fun to hear live. Maybe it's just too technical and difficult to play live? I bet Wix could handle the numerous fill ins. Here is a great link with comprehensive detailed info of songs Paul played live.... http://www.setlist.fm/stats/paul-mccartney-13d6bd15.html

Martha My Dear Hold Me Tight Rocky Racoon What Your Doing Four Beatle songs I attribute to Macca alone that I think he never did in concert. I'd love to hear them all. Wings list next.....
-
Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey would be interesting. I wonder if he/the band could pull that off. Didn't Paul himself suggest they tried it in rehearsals? I vaguely remember him mentioning it in the context of a live performance. That song, Silly Love Songs and selections from Back To The Egg please!!!

I second that motion.

I would quite like to hear 'Ballroom Dancing' or a lot of stuff from 'Tug of War' or 'Ram', but I'm not too sure if that'll ever happen but mind you with 'Temporary Secretary' being added then anything's possible!
