Think this is true?? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/music/music-news/11453375/Sir-Paul-McCartney-announces-UK-tour.html Sir Paul McCartney has announced his first UK shows in three years including one gig marking the 50th anniversary of 'Yesterday'. The former Beatle will play London's O2, Birmingham and Liverpool in May as part of a European tour. The O2 show will take place 50 years after he finished writing his classic track Yesterday. It says that tickets go on sale MONDAY. Hope he announces this soon!

If this is true: As glad as I would be to see Macca return to the UK for some shows, is a concert commemorating the 50th anniversary of "Yesterday" really necessary? We've just had a bloody Beatles American Invasion 50th Anniversary brouhaha. Enough already. McCartney should continue his current path of moving forward.

Yeah...and I recall him in an interview...and I'm paraphrasing... "I don't observe anniversaries...I just get on with it. It's other people who point these things out." What tosh!

I just hope all the people over there that have not seen him recently get a chance to now. BUT such short notice! Hasn't even been announced officially yet & it says tickets go on sale Monday!

It's just a press release blurb, it doesn't say he will commemorate anything. He never does anyway. It will still be the 'Out There' tour as well. And the fans here will be blessed by that, since we already got robbed of 'Your Mother Should Know', wouldn't make sense to not let Europe see all those additions. I also wouldn't be surprised when it will be a new tour once it rolls onto the US. 50 years after McCartney finished writing 'Yesterday' is 27 May 2015 btw, that's for the London O2. Fleetwood Mac plays that day, but we can at least guess it's in late May for the UK.

Oh I can feel the stress already in trying to buy tickets but it's about time Macca played the UK again. Tickets on sale on my birthday too. I hope that's a good omen!

Just saw the Telegraph post about the UK tour on Facebook. I'll be in Miami in mid-May till the end of June so this isn't in the cards for me. Would love to see him play in the UK sometime. Good luck to all you Brits and anyone else trying for tickets on Monday. I know you all must be very excited! Happy for ya!

It really wouldn't be that surprising. He could easily milk a third year of near sell-outs from this show.

That's true, and not unlike anything he did on previous tours. And with the tour scheme for EU, all being 'Out There', we can conclude it will be exactly that for the potential American dates in between as well.
