That's wonderful news! Happy for Ringo Wonder if he'll want to be referred to as Sir Ringo or Sir Richard Starkey? Fans will probably call him both. Barbara will be Lady Starkey now of course.

Why did they keep writing 2004? Paul was knighted in 1997!
Congrats to Ringo! He will be Sir Richard Starkey (just like Mick is Sir Michael Jagger)

I never thought Richy would be knighted. I am ecstatic. I wonder when the ceremony will be? He shall have to get a new cool outfit to wear for the big day. One is allowed 3 guests, I believe. Perhaps his three children?Meanwhile I am so very very happy️️

Paul was allowed 4 guests and Linda was sick anyway and wanted the 4 kids to go.

Ringo Starr receives knighthood: 'I'll wear it at breakfast'

The Beatles legend Ringo Starr followed in the footsteps of former bandmate Sir Paul McCartney by receiving a Knighthood at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday morning.
Accompanied by wife Barbara Bach, the iconic drummer, 77, offered his trademark peace-sign as he showed off the medal shortly after accepting the honour.
He joined a string of musicians, TV personalities and political figures, among them Bee Gees singer Barry Gibb, presenter Eamon Holmes, author Jilly Cooper and former Liberal Democrat leader Nick Clegg in receiving the title from Prince William
Congratulations to Sir Ringo on this happy and much deserved day!

Bump for Ringo!

Thought Ringo and Barbara looked lovely today! It's not often we see Ringo in a formal morning coat, and he looked great, he seemed very relaxed and comfortable. The bowler hat was a nice touch too. Barbara's outfit was perfect, very classy and elegant. The honor was what was important though, not the clothes, lol

It’s about time!!! The Starkeys look very proper, and why not, it’s a very honorable occasion!!! Congratulations
It’s great to see William doing the knighting! His Mum would be so proud.
