Where are you, Paul? I'm getting impatient, I don't have all day.

That was an excellent performance by Paul (who was in very good voice) and the band.He really looked as if he was enjoying himself. It was also good to see that the crowd were being put first before the tv cameras for a change. So often the audience is kept away from the stage for the benefit of the viewers at home etc.

Man, that gig sounded great! Paul was on form. Why did they play New twice? I'm so gutted I missed it. If I had tried to make it there I would have missed it by about 20-25 minutes! Paul, please give us concert soon. Most of us have missed all your appearances this week. No lotteries. No competitions. Just a straight out concert your fans can buy tickets for, please!

Shades of the Wings 1972 University Tour I'd say. Paul probably had been given a set time for the event and found himself a few minutes light at the end so sang New once more. On the 1972 tour Wings didn't have enough songs written and Paul wasn't doing Beatles songs at that time, so they made up audience requests and reprised some of the songs from earlier in the set to pad it out. Maybe because I am in New Mexico so have zero chance of going to these spontaneous gigs, I think it is REALLY cool he is doing them! Even if you live in the area and can't get there, don't you think it is FAB that this legend shows up, barely announced, and plays his music? I actually get a kick out of people who may just be there by accident who all of a sudden get to see Paul McCartney perform! INCREDIBLE!

Didn't this mark the debut of Queenie Eye before a live audience? Nice job on that.

People who lunch at Covent Garden are used to jugglers, mimes and street musicians vying for their attention ? and a spare coin or two ? but Friday's performer didn't bother to pass the hat.

I made it! basically, I got there and saw a bunch of people standing by the front but you could walk to the other side as other people left a walk way(of sorts) between them. I just stood in the third row and waited from 12:35 ish. It was obvious without knowing what had happened on the internet in the 1hr I was traveling that this could not be anything else. People around me were mildly excited and joked it was "Ringo". There was a bit of a mic check and to me it sounded a bit like Paul trying not to sound Paul-ish in that deep voice he sometimes puts on (no wooing in other words, I hope I'm making sence). Balloons were being released but it had nothing to do with the show. People were looking out their office windows. Some construction worker on the roof of a neighbouring building stopped working to wait. Then at 1:10 the stage opened. We all cheered and no band, but the stage was set and I was looking from the middle left hand side so I could see well. 20 mins later nothing, so some slow building clapping started and ended quick. I'd say a bit after 1:30 that's when it started. I'd like to know who didn't enjoy the 10-15 mins because even listening to New twice was worth it. All the songs sound great live and I enjoyed singing along to Queenie Eye once I put my camera away. He said he wouldn't "give away his pick" which later reminded me of some interview story where he has joked that everyone always asks for the pick...anyway. The people behind me thought we would hear Beatle songs but it was said after I think Save Us that he was going to have only 15 mins. It was over quickly but I was happy to get a decent picture of Wix and very happy that I did take the gamble by dropping everything to go. Sorry, I forgot, I want to thank Martin for starting this thread. I never thought I'd I have this chance, so thank you
