Anybody else noticed that when purchasing tour tickets through Crowdsurge that there's no https or any padlock in the url bar? The CC payment section says SSL Secure, but is this so i wonder?

I've been purchasing tickets from CrowdSurge online since 2012 and never had any problems. Excellent customer service as well.

Got it. What I meant was that I have never worried about it, as I have never had any reason to. Same with the company that sells VIP packages in South America, which is called "eTix". I've never done business with the UK/EU one, which is called "Event Travel". They both belong to SloTix, so I suppose it would be safe as well.

I would be hesitant to put my credit card and buy tickets on any site that doesn't have a padlock! They need to get that padlock. Who wants to take a chance...

I think it is a secure site. It has to be if it is processing credit card payments. I tried buying a ticket through Crowdsurge just now and found this above where you fill out your credit card billing info: PAYMENT IS PROCESSED THROUGH A SECURE SSL CONNECTION It did have the padlock symbol as well.

It says that on the page but not in the URL as it normally should! As not many people have commented on this i guess i'm the only one who noticed or cares!

I last used Crowdsurge in 2013 and to be honest, I was in such a hurry to finish the transaction and not lose the tickets (Crowdsurge is so crash-y :shock that I didn't notice whether it was padlocked or not! Frankly in this day and age, I don't think any website or company is 100% secure anymore. Many huge US companies such as Target have been hacked. If you are truly worried, just keep a close watch on your credit card activity, which is not a bad idea anyway. I check all of my credit cards several times a month.

I wonder if seeing the "padlock" is determined by one's browser. Look for their privacy policy -- that should address those concerns.

I check on my CC transactions once a week to make sure everything is fine. I was just curious on the situation rather than worried on why the https or the padlock was absent from the URL bar!
