I want to give a belated nod to my 8th grade English teacher, Mrs. Pilgreen. She's probably long gone now (this was 1969-70), but I'll be forever grateful for her encouragement and for having us read "Silent Spring." That I've made my living largely through writing for going on 3 decades is largely thanks to her.

My youngest Daughter/Teacher has been in NYC attending conferences.

They gave a Shout Out to Teachers on The Price Is Right today. They also had a game that mentioned The Beatles in reference to which decade they became popular.
