I want to suggest something but I don't know how I could ever get in tocuh with Paul's people regarding my suggestion. His first, and probably only concert in Regina will be a blast. There's a short song, that could even be abbreviated to under two minutes, which has been considered by many music experts to be the quinessential prairie song. If Paul could do it for the Saskatchewan crowd, I think he would provide an awesome experience and a forever place in their hearts. I have no professional connection to the author, other than I'm a big fan. The song can be heard at : http://www.conniekaldor.com/about/wood-river/ I know it's a long shot. I know Paul rarely sings other people's songs. But for this once-in-a-lifetime event, I don't think it's that outlandish of a suggestion. If anybody wants to help or knows how to at least getting this idea out there -- maybe start a petition of some sorts, I'd be all ears. I can be reached at Ringo65@aol.com Rock on, Paul...

...yeah, it was far from an instant sellout, from the looks of things. Very surprising considering the big name and how the city is starved for them. But at the same time, I had to discover the Beatles myself and then I had to discover Paul myself growing up in Regina. FM Radio just doesn't play either here. So I am sure a lot of people are in my boat, except they haven't gone out and become full fledged fans like I have. For whatever reason, the Beatles and Paul aren't pushed to a regina audience like so many other artists who were FM staples for me growing up (and I'm not even including the mandatory Canadian content quota): AC DC, Aerosmith, John Mellencamp, ZZ Top, Tom Petty, Led Zeppelin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Def Leppard, Queen, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Dire Straits, Ozzy, Van Halen, Billy Joel, Black Crowes, etc... Strangely, I barely heard any Rolling Stones on the radio growing up, either. But the city went nuts for the Stones.

Oh, and also, I have a few single tickets available for face value. All in A2 and A4. I went overboard... it seemed every time I made a purchase and searched again, there was an even better single available.

How is the Regina show selling? The stadium holds 30,000 or am I incorrect?

I think closer to 38, then more on the field, so almost 50. That's what they crammed in for the Stones. It's been on sale a month now, and you can still grab an A2 Row 5 single, or B4 double, I checked yesterday.

Well, even if it is not a sell out, I am sure he will sell enough tickets to do the show. The Rolling Stones played University Stadium in Albuquerque in 1997, back then it seated 30,000 and they had 34,000 people there and put on a great concert. Today, with an expansion, the stadium seats 38,000 so for a concert it could hold about 48,000 people.

Yeah, not saying it won't sell out, and I've only checked for "best available" meaning cheaper tickets might have gone faster. But it definitely hasn't been one of those cases where 60,000 people want to go and there's only room for 50,000 and it sells out in an hour. That's what I thought would happen though...
