anyone got the set list?
couple of slight changes from Liverpool {Cant Buy Me Love instead of All My Loving, We Can Work It Out in place of I;ve Just Seen a Face, that may have been it? sorry cant recall just now. Sorry he didn't do Mull, I don't know why he's stopped doing it this year in places he used to always play it. But another Wonderful Christmas time, this time with a local kids' choir who were quite good

I know setlist.fm isn't always accurate but I did this one! I've given up trying to copy and paste it here because the forum just removes all the spaces and lines and makes one long word from the song titles!
Changes from Liverpool as per thenightfish and he also dropped I Saw Her Standing There.

thanks everyone! good set but disappointed there was no mull!

Here's a link to a short vid of Friday's fantastic concert .
-
Great show and the voice much better than at the Jubilee concert.
Didn't miss having to queue overnight on Sauchiehall Street on a cold November night as I had to in 1979 for thr Apollo gigs.
At least the Hydro stewards did not try and stop people standing up, like they have done at other concerts (although I dont think they would have been successful

ok i know this will get merged with the main glasgow thread, but for the very short time til it does i thought i'd ask out here - i'm not on facebook, or have time to fully search (but have tried and nothing so far) but could anyone who knows loads of other fans help!!
I did a banner mentioning my son, i made it last minute and folded it into my bag hoping well maybe he'd read it, but didn't think he'd read it out loud!!!!
But at Glasgow, Paul read out my message that "my son River loves you, he thinks you're uncle paul" (cue lots of laughing and paul pulling faces saying no no im not im not!!! and then he even read out the rest "he's only 2 so he's at home, he goes wild to Queenie eye, i'm his proud mum" and they put my giant ugly shy head on screen along with the sign!
I'd seen him read it to himself when he walked from the piano, and was so excited about that, i didn't think he'd actually go back to it a minute later thinking it good enough /funny enough to read out loud! I'd just done it so he could see River's name, cos some of you know on here the tough time he'd had (though he's doing much better now, but still a way to go), and he genuinely does love the stuff and dance like mad to queenie eye (and come on to me!), and we always say "uncle Paul"!
Course, i wasn't filming or anything, and i doubt many people do bother to film the signs bit, but if anyone has either audio of the concert, or footage, or photos (hopefully all 3!), please help!
Paul saw my birthday banner before birthday in London too, so i was pretty happy, he mentioned it dead quickly... oh and then Ringo showed up on my bday............. quite a good week really hehehehehehehe!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you you guys!
I've got so much on this week i haven't got much time, but just wanted to get the first lot of asking out there, and thank you!!!

My friend Helen from Dundee showed some of the Glasgow concert "live" on her phone and what a spectacular enormous venue and dazzling light show, it was exciting to see. "Sing the Changes" was blasted out before the show started and I realized that IS a very good exciting song, followed by "Mrs. Vandebuilt" and I think "coming up" and others to really get the audience buzzing beforehand. Caught a flash of her somewhat Goth looking daughter all enthused, looking like a Gothic Snow White with jet black hair, very pale skin and bright red lips, and of Helen's hubby, and I heard Helen singing along to the opener "A Hard Day's Night." Sounding giddy and exuberant. Could tell it was a corker. Jolly good show duckie

So happy for you! I'll keep a look our for videos for you.

That is so cool!!!!
-
awwww it's gone in here already - no one will see it!!
but thanks you 2, i know you both are much more "out there" on Paul sites than me, so fingers crossed you come across the audio, vids, or some pics I was just in shock!!!!!!! Would love a permanent record of it happening so i can show him when he's old enough to fully get what happened

Aw that was you!! What song did he play after the sign was broadcasted on the screen? Try finding a video of the song on Youtube & see if the filmer has that footage too

Thank you He is such a wonderful little man! He's running around! He falls a lot, we have an appt about if he needs special shoes in January due to his foot roll, and his speech is picking up and have a speech therapy follow up in the new year too - but if photobucket still worked i'd be posting pics of him despite my privacy as he is so perfect i just want to share! (and hard to be private when his name and my face have been on screen at a Paul gig!)
Have a wonderful happy Christmas, you've always been so kind to me

thank you! I saw you walk past but was too shy to say hello at the time Yes it was between Maybe i'm amazed and we can work it out, but the signs part is quite long isn't it so most people have their camera away i think! Best bet will be if a full thing of the show appears somewhere i suppose. But i'll keep trying, if anyone sees any let me know
Wasn't it an amazing show though - i thought it was so much better than Liverpool (not that liverpool was bad, but i think he always feels the pressure a bit with a hometown show, he seemed much more relaxed to be in Scotland)
-
Found a couple of songs from the Glasgow soundcheck:
-
^ awww that's great to see, thank you for posting them
I've had no luck so far in finding any audio of Paul reading out my sign (would love to have it for the future so my son can hear Paul saying his name!!), or any video it. It seems nowadays people who video a show pause out speech to save room! And no one seems to do full boot audios anymore. Ack well. I'll still be hoping something shows up, but at least i have the memory (and a photo!! If anyone finds any more, thank you!)
-
I got the audio of Paul reading it out btw! If i find a way i'll post it here (i know i know, no one's interested, but it's one of the moments of my life!!!!!!)

Congratulations, I’m pleased you managed to track that down. I was 2 or 3 seats behind you.
My favourite review of the gig:
-
Cannot believe a year has flown by! Such an amazing gig, wonderful! And not just cos of the sign stuff either (my first ever sign) Paul was on fire! And wow, 2 days later the London gig when ringo showed up on my bday! Not a bad week eh
. A year.. So much has happened in the 12 months since then, my son has improved so much.. my dad died in May which I wasn't expecting and still hits me daily.. and we met Paul at the book thing which was a lovely distraction and an amazing day.
sorry for a one year on boost of the thread - I've seen many do that for shows over the years. Happy one year anniversary to the 3 British gigs! (But will they be the last we get?)

Nothing wrong with an anniversary bump for memories of a great gig! I remember Paul reading your sign! Was a fun night and I only wish he had done Mull, I was looking forward to it as it was close to the anniversary of my 1979 Glasgow Wings gigs. But we did have a Wonderful Christmastime!
Very sorry about the loss of your dad but glad your son is doing better and that you both met Paul at the booksigning.
