@wandy I know the story wandy. I’ve seen the headstone twice (2011, 2016) But my opinion is that it was an incredible coincidence. Interesting story about the Vale Rd. connection, though!
Taken by me in 2011.

Yes I too saw the grave when I went there. John's uncle George is also buried in that cemetery, and Liverpool FC manager, Bob Paisley. Just imagine if Paul's dad had forbidden him to go to that Fete, on that day, or Paul decided himself, not to go. Did you go across the road to the church hall? Did you see the plaque on the church hall wall?

@wandy I’ve been everywhere and have photos to prove it. Here’s the tombstone in 2016:

Big Barn Bed although I think I prefer your title,Susy.
Big Barn Bed. This is probably the barn at his farm in Scotland. Great story: In the book called, Blackbird, there is a story of when Paul took Wings to stay on his farm. Unfortunately,for the band, he put them up in the barn. They felt they deserved better accommodation than a rat infested barn. They wanted to stay in the main house...... until they looked inside. The house was actually WORSE! than the barn
I do love that story!!

@wandy 2016
These pictures bring back great memories for me. I'm so glad, and lucky, to live in the same country as the Beatles. Just pop on the train to go to Liverpool, or Friar Park. Just pop on the London Underground, to St Johns Wood, for AR Studios. This reminds me of when I set out to find Tittenhurst Park. John's country Estate, then Ringo's. Ringo was living there when I went. I couldn't find the darned place. In the end I went into a musical instrument shop, with my long hair and plastic drumkit badge on the lapel of my jacket, and asked for directions. When I mentioned Tittenhurst Park, the guy behind the counter said, "Tittenhurst Park? Isn't that where the former Beatle Ringo Starr lives"??
Me. "Yes we are working on his latest album. But I mustn't say anymore, sorry". Anyway, it worked, he gave me directions to his estate. -

Anybody here from Britain might find this interesting. British actress, Diana Dors, is buried in a cemetery just down the road from Tittenhurst Park. Diana Dors is virtually unknown outside of Britain. Anyway, I found out quite recently that the cemetery she's buried in, is part of the Tittenhurst Park Estate.

Interesting! I’ve heard of her, but not sure I’d recognize her in a line-up.

She was known as "Britain's Jane Mansfield". Sadly died of cancer in about 1984, or so.

That’s “Jayne” Mansfield - I ought to know, as it’s my middle name. P.S. I met her once when I was about 6 or 7.
And Diana Dors did resemble her! She also died young (Diana at 52 and Jayne at only 34 in a car accident)
