His voice was fine tonight. Slight strain from the night before but more than acceptable. He will keep doing MAYBE I'M AMAZED as he got a standing ovation tonight after it and he seemed touched by that. When he introduced NEW I swear I was the only one who clapped in the whole place. Come on people respect the "NEW " songs. Next show for me is Hershey

Most people are there to see "Beatle Paul" and not Paul McCartney which is the reason you were the only one clapping for "New". Unfortunately, Mr. McCartney takes this to "heart" and thinks he has to do almost an entire "oldie" show. As somebody who has loved his solo career I thank you for appreciating his latest recording which I believe is about 3 yrs old now. .

He may have been the only one in the front row clapping for the New songs but there are lots of us in the other rows who clap and sing for those songs, and he does see us, too. But yes, much of the audience loves the Beatle songs. It is what it is. I had a girl in front of me at night 1 that squealed "that is a BEATLE" a bunch of times after he came out.

I had printed a banner for one show that had lots of bootleg cover pics on it & solo songs. Little kids behind me were singing all the Beatley stuff. At the end of the show I gave them the banner & also gave them homework! I told them to look up a few of his solo numbers! haha

My dad's comments after seeing the show - Loved that there was no Jimi story Brian's solo rocked in Letting Go Can't Buy Me Love should be swapped for Another Girl My Valentine was the low point You Won't See Me is fantastic in the arrangement that it's in this tour Too many slow songs in the first half of the show Rising platform should go Prince tribute rocked

The lack of enthusiasm for new songs in the front row is due to upgrading of fans. IMO. Sometimes there's hardcore fans but often it's Beatle-lite fans. I always whoop and holler specially for the solo and Wings - hoping he sees that they deserve to be there. (Except My Valentine hehe though it's growing on me) He could still switch it up if he announced it was a rarities/one album, smaller venue, limited run of shows or like the secret MAF shows. Basically forewarn people and the press. Or even an extended residency....like Prince did. That said, it would involve Paul changing his perspective a bit and I get the feeling he's just a natural-born people pleaser and the initial discomfort might unsettle him too much. Hope I'm wrong. I had hoped at Lolla he would do an after-show. Would have been perfect opportunity to try something edgy and different with low-stakes...

Did he do the Prince tribute again ...Let's Go Crazy Was it pretty much the same as the 1st night....right after Hi-Hi-Hi Was the performance of the song a little more polished last night...did Paul sing a little more on it etc. Thanks

The show was identical to the one the previous night, which was a bit surprising to me.

Of course the loudest applause came for his earlier songs which were much bigger hits, it's understandable. It's expected, most of the fans in attendance have not seen multiple shows or more likely this is their first McCartney show. I would think they make up 90% of the total audience. I had a great time at the concert and looking forward to hopefully seeing a few more.

Did anybody get any pictures of Paul in his SUV in front of the Loews hotel on the 5th before he left for soundcheck?

Sorry, but I did not have a camera. He should have walked over. I was surprised when there was no police escort but it makes sense if he was just across the street. On edit: I only saw him arrive on the 4th.

It was a nice mini-set. I know some are tired of MMT and DMC but I was happy to hear them again especially since my guests had never seen Paul before and we were treated to the full concert experience with the videos. I should clarify that this list is from the May 5 soundcheck and is not in actual sequence.

Has anyone ever taken any kind of survey to figure out how many people at concerts are first timers, old hands, people who only go in their city, people who travel all over the place? I'd like to see those stats.

Paul did his usual audience survey asking who was from out-of-town. Maybe he could add the first-timer question.
