You Tube had a video of the whole concert last night in Paris. First time I saw a recent Macca show (from beginning to end) in several years.
For first timers (or even 2nd timers) I can see where Macca still gives a great show and believe it or not...great bang for the buck. For fans that are Beatle fans first (over Paul Solo), the variety of songs that Paul/Band plays is staggering. He goes from one of the first songs the fabs recorded (In Spite of all the Danger) to 3 songs from Paul's latest album...Egypt Station. They go on to play a nice dose of early Beatles (Love Me Do, From Me To You, Michelle, I've Just Seen a Face) to mid and later Beatle periods (I've Got a Feeling, Eleanor Rigby, Got To Get You Into My Life, Birthday, Seargent Pepper, Back in the USSR, Ob La Di etc.). He also mixes in the Wings' hits...Band on the Run, 1985, Live and Let Die, Maybe I'm Amazed, Let them In etc.).
For fans like me (have seen Paul a Dozen times) it still would have been very good as long as I wasn't paying $200.00 0r so. I don't want to turn this into a set list debate so let me tell you what I liked and disliked about one of his current shows.

1. I liked the "live horns" addtion. I really liked when they played "Got to Get You into my Life". It sounded so much better. The song rocked! I also liked when they did "Letting Go" with the horns. Again, it gave "life" to the song. Letting Go in my opinion is one of Paul's best 70's songs and there are a lot of them.
2. I also liked one of his newest additions...From Me To You. It felt right at place during the acoustic section
3. Paul sounded great on both Blackbird and Here Today. His vocals were spot on.
4. Paul sounded really good on one of the new ES songs...Come On To Me. The horns again sounded great live and this addition made the song better and not so repetitive. Again it rocked!
5. I've never seen Paul do Queenie Eye in the past. This is probably my 2nd favorite song on New (after Early Days) and Queenie Eye sounded and looked great. I always love it when Paul does a Solo song but it just sounded especially good even on You tube. The video also seemed quite good if you were there.
6. Junior's Farm..Paul and the Band always seem to do this one great.
7. Who Cares...One of my favorites on ES. Thank God he is adding this one to the Setlist
8. Michelle...Since they were playing in Paris, it wasn't a surprise. What was a surprise is how well Paul sang it. Great version
9. In Spite of all the Danger and Love Me Do...one of my favorite portion of the show is the acoustic section. Both of these songs had the crowd going and I always love to see Paul doing the guitar solo on "Danger".
Dislikes
1. The songs that are not signature songs that Paul continues to play. Proably the biggest culprit is "Let Me Roll it". It goes on too long and Paul still struggles vocally on it
2. While it is definitely a "signature song", Paul is still performing Maybe I'm Amazed. He has been struggling with the vocals on MIA for years.
3. Only 3 songs from Egypt Station and only one of them are among my favorites on ES. I will admit that they did a very good job on "Come On To Me" (with the addition of the horns it rocked live and didn't sound so repetitive)but why is Paul playing Fuh You. I guess he is still trying to make a hit of the song but it never did "take off" on the charts (which was the main reasons it was included on ES I guess. Yes the song is catchy but the lyrics are awful. I say this because he has so many far better songs on ES and to this point he has ignored them. How does he not play Happy With You, Dominoes or People Want Peace. Just a shame in my opinion. I would go to one of his US shows next year if he was playing a few of the great songs on ES but it just looks as though he is going to stick to just the 3 songs. It is baffling to me considering the album go so many great reviews (and Fuh You wasn't a highlight for sure).
Anyway and as I said, for the 1st or 2nd timers who have never heard Paul sing Beatle songs live, it is an AWESOME SHOW.
Enjoyed your review you make some good points, the horns really do make a difference. Also they have changed the rolling screens that appear before Paul comes on, given a 'Freshen up'!
Thanks Jon. Just to be clear, I wasn't at the show but saw the complete show on YouTube. As I said, for first and 2nd timers who have never seen Paul or heard so many Beatle songs sung live by one of the original members, it is a fantastic show.
Simultaneously looking at the screens, it does appear that the videos being played during the songs are excellent as well. I loved Got to Get You Into My Life and Letting Go. I have seen Paul doing these songs on previous shows, but the live horns did really make a difference from what I saw. Also really liked "Come On To Me".
I was also surprised how well Paul sang My Valentine. That and Michelle were highlights for me vocally (along with Here Today and Blackbird).
I am just frustrated that Paul was not ready to play more of the "best" ES Songs (like the ones I mention above).

Yes you mentioned you watched the show on youtube , that was the 9th Paul concert i have attended, i would like like him to change the set up a bit but i think at this stage its probably not gonna happen as much, maybe Paul will decide to add a few more from ES when he tours the USA i agree 'Come on to me' sounded good.

Hello everybody! Can you help me, please, to find the photos of audience in parter? I was near the stage (from the side of sectors J, K) on "A hard day's night", but then turned to sector J and then stood about the 4th-5th row. I had a poster "Fresheh up tour" and made it up between songs
did anybody some photos of people in parter? please, help me, I want to find myself
I couldn't find myself on "Hey Jude" on the screen...
Thank you!
