From all the live footage I have watched I have to agree, it's a shame he toured such a mediocre album so heavily!

Actually the US portion of the New World Tour was shorter than originally planned. An additional 9 to 12 cities scheduled for later in June into July (on the third leg of the U.S. tour) were cancelled due to some unannounced reason.

I remember reading that too. I believe it was because ticket sales were soft for the first leg of the tour. Imagine that!

A little difficult for me to believe that. I saw him in a 40,000+ football stadium in April '93. And it was a sold-out show.

Who knows? Could be he just wanted to hit other markets, which he certainly did that year. He sold out 30,000 seats in Las Cruces, NM, so he did well here too.

but true. I remember they were selling 2-for-1 tickets in Kansas City on the day of the show. 89/90 is still probably my favorite Macca tour. Those were the days!

I saw a sold-out show at Anaheim Stadium in '93. Drove all the way from Oregon for it. It was fantastic! Well, all of his concerts are. But I loved Off the Ground...and the songs sounded just great with that incredible sound system. Great set list too. Best stadium concert I ever saw.

I hope there would be more 1990 tour shows available to wacth. For example Rio concert, Soldier Field gig or Liverpool home show.

I saw the show after that one, in Las Cruces, New Mexico! Drove in with family from Albuquerque, it was so exciting! Paul spoke Spanish to the crowd and put on an excellent show! Sound was awesome, McCartney in top form.

Were there two versions of the Get Back film? I bought the home-video on VHS when it was originally released, and the mix was terrible -- and the speed of the audio was a half-step under the correct pitch. More recently, I've seen at least one other version where the speed seemed to be corrected.

Yeah, I do seem to recall the VHS version being "sluggish." I was disappointed, as the show live was much more exciting.

Getting back to the "New World Tour" in '93, IMO Autralia had the best set list. Paul started that tour off with "Get Out Of My Way" and the revamped "I Wanna Be Your Man" in the setlist which were taken out by the time they played in the U.S., Europe and South America. "Another Day" was included in both the Australian and U.S. legs but was replaced by "Jet" towards the end of the tour. I wouldn't be surprised to see Paul going to Australia if the rumored tour this year takes place. The ads would be amazing "Returning After 20 Years..."

Paul OPENED with "Get Out Of My Way" in '93???? Wow! Would love to see/hear that! Also: "Returning After 20 Years..." would be a cool promotion.

No...he didn't open with it, meant to say that they were in the setlist for the initial leg of that tour. He opened with "Drive My Car".

Here's that version of the Get Back concert-film where the speed has been corrected to the proper pitch. Much, much better than the first version!
