Random Deletion of Threads with no Explanation.
-
Twice I've posted a thread about BBC 6 Music Celebrates The White Album and twice it's been deleted with no explanation.
Why has this been done? I thought it would be of interest to people here but whoever keeps deleting the threads obviously knows better than me it seems.
-
I saw it once & didn't get a chance to read it. Then I saw it was deleted. I figured it was moved to the Broadcast or the Yesterday section...but I haven't checked.
-
It probably should go under The Broadcast, but it’s not there, nor is it under Yesterday. Strange.

It was merged into this thread:
http://maccaboard.paulmccartney.com/forum/thread/32121
Unfortunately merged threads stay at their original place in the forum and do not show who posted last!
However you should have gotten a note explaining what had happened to your thread!

Problem solved!

No, I received no note. Not happy. Not happy at all.

It doesn't do any good to send a notification to someone that their thread has been merged, because there's a glitch in the notification system here. I get notifications but they're all a month or more old. If you send me a notification today about a post, it won't show up on my dashboard for about 4 weeks. It's possible others aren't receiving any notifications at all. I informed Calico about this several months ago, she said she'd let the admin team know but I was told "don't count on it getting fixed right away." (I guess they were busy getting social media publicity / tour info ready prior to release of Egypt Station.)
Just a suggestion, but until this glitch is fixed, maybe the mods can send a message to users about changes to posts through the Private Message system (like on the old maccaboard) and not use notifications.
