      There are 19 Beatles songs (including Something at #16) and one solo, John’s Imagine at #31. No solo Paul!

        That's great, but these constant lists of this and that are nothing more than ways to suck us into discussing and arguing about them.....and to sell magazines.  laugh

          Don’t be such a Debbie Downer! Just ignore it and don’t post anything.😉

            "No solo Paul" I thought the title says "Yesterday" is number one? I'll scrutinize this list when I get more time. These lists are kind of B.S.,

            because art appreciation is subjective. It might not be worth even reading, but I'm a bit curious.

              These lists drive me crazy. Hell, I don't even think Yesterday is The Beatles' best, though it's certainly very good. I'll save what's left of my sanity and ignore this one.

                He was Beatle Paul then! I meant solo, as in 1970 or later. 😉

                  They were way off on the number of covers of Yesterday! 665?! It is over 3000! (Emailed the editor) 😂

                  I think the # of covers and weeks on Billboard Hot 100 had something to do with it being #1.

                    I know, Nancy, boy did I go kerfluey on that one--for one crazy minute I thought  of"Yesterday" as solo Paul, not Paul with the Fabs, I guess 'cause he sang it all by himself. It's one of the most gorgeous ballads of all time, I think. Oh that melody...it is beyond sublime. (kisses, not on the bottom)laugh

                      History = 1961-2013

                        Yeah, they left off Beethoven’s famous 9th Symphony! 😂 (Couldn’t resist the Help! reference!)

                          Any list of songs that ignores the 1930s-1940s or all of the great musicals is a waste of space.

                            Refer to my point on another thread as to why rap will always be crapola.

                            It's easy to see where Jeff Buckley drew his inspiration.
