Taking artwork to hot sound package/gig?
-
Hi all,
Just wanted to ask a question!
I've been creating a piece of work recently which I am getting printed regardless to frame and hang up. In an ideal world it would be amazing for Macca to see it (and even sign it!). I'm going to be at the hot sound package in Liverpool next week so was wondering how realistic it is to get it noticed there?
I'm not too sure how many attend the hot sound package normally? But my gut feeling is that I haven't a chance haha.
If anyone has had a past experience would love to hear!

Go for it! The last time someone asked my advice about what to write on a poster (which phrase to write) they took my advice and Paul called her up on stage! Needless to say, I nearly died of envy!

Give me every line you know! haha
Would be absolutely amazing if it happened, a guy can dream!

Someone on this board was invited on stage to have her drawing signed by Paul. See her work here:

Awesome work!
Sadly as mine isn't a drawing of him I doubt I will get a chance! It's an Egypt Station Graphic Design piece. I was kind of hoping I may get more of a chance at the Soundcheck, but prob won't have the nerve to actually ask!
I assume he prob won't come over to everyone there? Unless he does because it's his homecoming gig?

Never heard of him coming down to the fans. And you don’t get to ask him anything (unless you shout out at him which nobody dares do) He stops at some point and reads all the signs, etc. to himself (he must have great eyesight!) Sometimes he used to tell his security to have someone come up during soundcheck, but now it seems he only does it during the actual concert. If you have an aisle seat or close to it, you have a better chance. I have always been hemmed in in rows 3 or 4 where there is no center aisle and you have to enter and exit from the far right or left!
