One thing is for sure: he will tour the US in the summer, so we can expect several shows anytime between May and August.

What makes you say he'll be in the US this Summer?

It's a safe guess. He has toured in US almost every summer since 2009 . That does not mean things could change or that it could be a mix There has been unsupported chatter of Japan, Australia, Mexico and US so far. But it's normal to hear widespread rumors before tours are announced. Especially the way Paul announces them. Some have more legs that others but still a bit early to know for sure which ones pan out Lesson, everything is a rumor until they are announced officially

Just speculation based on his touring patterns of the last few years. There must be a few areas in the US and Canada that he hasn't been to for a few years now, so perhaps be will focus on some of those. Same thing with Europe: even though he did several concerts over there in 2015/2016, there are a few big cities left in which he hasn't played at for a while, such as Rome, Barcelona, Lisbon, Brussels, Glasgow, Dublin, Zurich, etc. He hasn't been to Mexico/Colombia since 2012 and Brazil/Chile since 2014, so I suppose one (or more) of those is also possible for either May or November. A tour promoter did mention last year he was in negotiations with MPL for at least one concert in the Northeast of Brazil, and he was successful booking a gig in that same region back in 2013. He would not come all the way here to do just one show, so it's safe to speculate his team must be studying offers for at least a couple more shows in the country, as he did last year in Argentina.

I don't think Paul will be in Australia just after Japan. From Tokyo to Sydney or Melbourne it's a 10 hour flight. We never know with Paul, but usually we don't see he crossing a distance like that in the same leg. The pattern is 2 or 3 hours in the plane from a city to another. Like I said in another topic, some big artists, like Stones and Bruce Springsteen had an exclusive leg for Australia/New Zealand and they went to Asia in another moment. So, I think Australia may happen by the end of the year. And I agree with 5th-beatle: no doubt he will tour in the US. In 2016 there was so many shows and maybe we'll see a little less this year.

I think if Australia is to happen, it would have to be before Japan.

I did look at the distances between announcement and show date and there were some that were only about a month. That's a bit dangerous, isn't it? And I doubt they'd try that here after the apparently poor ticket sales 15 years ago (wow...).

I wonder if Paul isn't doing JazzFest, it's because it's because he's playing a different southern festival like Austin City Limits, Bonnaroo again, or even Beale Street Music Fest in Memphis...

The Bonnaroo lineup has already been announced, so he definitely won't be playing that one...

One on One Tour was announced on March 9th, 2016. (first date was April 13th) https://www.paulmccartney.com/news-blogs/news/first-dates-of-new-one-on-one-tour-confirmed. Also Flowers in the Dirt is being released on March 24th, 2017. So look for an announcement in early March for Concert Tour to promote release. Not sure how re-release of Flowers will coincide with new reported Album. Also, Paul is 75 years old on June 18th, 2017. He will likely be on the road by then to celebrate his 75th birthday.

I would love to see Paul live in Liverpool, so I'm keeping everything crossed that he'll add some UK dates!

The archive releases could not have less to do with his touring. It's like a separate entity that just happens to have Paul McCartney's name on it. As far as his birthday, he's had many opportunities to play gigs on exceptionally monumental ages and it almost seems like he intentionally avoids them. Maybe I'm wrong, but I can't find evidence of him playing on his birthday since 1976. As for Australia, I think we would have heard something by now. This isn't something they'll rush. I would think they want time for sales so they can monitor it and back out if sales are slow (can anyone say HORSENS). I suspect US stadiums and arenas somewhere in the May-August range, and a new record in the fall...2013 all over again, and that's not bad! Now, if he could shake the setlist up like he did then...that would be noteworthy!

If we don't hear real soon, I would doubt Australia will happen at least this Spring. I agree that they will plenty of time between announcement and show(s) due to poor sales the last time. May appears to be out of the question but no real tangible info as of yet
