Not that I want anyone here to miss an opportunity to see Paul and the Band, but I hope Paul devotes all his music time making a new album...maybe even a Double Album a la the White Album. Then wherever he would tour in 2018, fans lucky enough would have at least some new music to hear live. Just a thought.

I don't want to imagine how his live voice will be in 2018. As a fan it's too painful to think about it!

I didn't want to be the first one to say it. I've been watching the 2013 Tokyo show and I'm fine with that but other people just cringe. I know it's selfish of me but, as I've not seen him yet, I want to see him as soon as possible before it gets too late.

Sorry to say this, but it's already too late. You should have seen him no later than 2005 when he could still sing beautifully.

_____________________________________________ Nancy, Maybe I'm hoping too much but I'm thinking that maybe a year to two off the "heaving touring" might help his voice quite a bit. There are some songs that I think he can sing decently well even now so if he stayed with more similar songs (not difficult songs like Maybe I'm Amazed and others) than I think I would definitely see him again. And if he had new songs from a brand new album that would even be a greater plus.

All he needs to do is change the setlist! Many of the more recent songs were written for an older voice. Just keep a few signature songs & revamp the entire show!

Oobu that is a great idea!!! From Electric Arguments on seems to be where Paul lowered the key on some songs!!! I would love to go to that concert!!!

Exactly! And lower the keys on those signature songs.

I think we all have a personal threshold. My first experience of 21st century Paul was Good Evening New York City. I remember hearing somewhere that that show had a lot of post-production done to it. Regardless, as I mostly listen to live albums over studio, that era became my era of Paul. I don't even mind the awful YouTube video sound because it's Paul and it's the Paul that I came to know and love. The biggest problem is the first verse of Maybe I'm Amazed and I would not care about the shakiness just to hear that song live. I'm aware that I've gotten used to the way he sounds now and that I'm looking at him through rose-tinted glasses but he's still good to me now. But it will only be a matter of a few years (maybe even a little less) before I reach my threshold.

From what I know about the way tour info is handled in the Macca camp, I would confidently say that any rumors about next spring or summer is just that....a rumor. Of course, venues/cities continually present offers to play there but this happens all the time and a very large percentage are declined. It seems like schedule gets set 2-4 months ahead of the leg. Seems 2 1/2 to 3 months ahead has been norm recently

If Australia is ever going to happen again it will be in early 2017 as that's our summer. If not then it will never happen, unless we get to see him when he is 80 and whispering songs.

I'm in Perth. do you think there is any chance Paul will tour Australia in 2017? there are only 2 artists that I haven't seen live that I want to see, Paul & David Gilmour. I'm also a BOWIE fan, I saw David twice on the Reality tour. when he passed away this year I was gutted I feel so fortunate that I got to see David live. I'd love to see Paul, if he does tour here, I'll yell out loud if it's announced!

thank you keep talking Perth and Australia, I am in country WA and would love Paul to tour Australia one more time, it could be one big relaxed holiday as well taking with his family the Great Barrier Reef, The rugged Kimberly of WA, Our many great scenic wonders and native animals, and tens of thousands of passionate fans that are waiting with baited breath for an announcement. Perth has a wonderful new venue now just ask your chums Neil and Bruce, its a great venue and you will sell it out in minutes mate so come down under. But lets face it his management team have dollars in their eyes and dont give a stuff about us fans in the wider reaches of the globe, shame really.

Press!!! That's It!! Right There!!! Yeah!!! Should have been a #1 hit!!!

I think that Australia may finally get a show(s) this year. But I think it's not so much he doesn't care about further reaches of the world more than he has a limited amount of shows he will play every year..usually between mid 20's and 40 and that's it! I think now, they steer to markets that they know will sell tickets. As far as Australia and it's tens of thousands of fans, problem is, last time Paul tried to tour there the ticket sales were atrocious and where were those fans. I honestly don't think he ever forgot it and never having that problem before, is something he has carried with him

We definately need a new album by Paul it''s been a couple of years since he last did one and to add some new up beat songs in the set list for 2017. True maybe some of the songs on the set list can be changed bring in some ones that he hadn't played in years. I have no idea if I will get to see Paul at least one more time...all I can do is keep on dreaming I guess. Last time I saw Paul was 2002! Im way over due. The trouble is I would have to try to convince my Dad to come with me haha.

are you talking about 1993? He sold out Sydney in record time IIRC. Perhaps you are thinking of 2002 where a one show deal and not a legit tour went balls up and that should not consign him to never tour here again, perhaps his management team should try harder with our promoters and better organise a full scale tour like everyone else does and there will be no problems.

Yes indeed 2002 was never a tour.I had great tickets for Etihad stadium in Melbourne. We were lied to by the management team and told unequivocally that the shows were postponed.Wow 14 years is a long postponement ! How about the management team being authentic and honoured their commitment. How many times since 2002 has Paul toured The States, South America, Europe and Japan and left loyal Australian fans in the lurch ?

Loving the whispers of Paul possibly coming to see us finally. It's been a LOOOONG wait. Do you have any rough times of year in what you've heard Bob? Seems like an early 2017 thing from what others have said. I just hope they do it a bit better this time - full tour as others have said and not a silly one off, and somewhat reasonable prices. I was glad to pay $174 (which was towards the lower end of the scale of tickets available) at the time being an unemployed 21 year old, but I remember hearing many folks found the ticket prices completely outrageous. As I recall there were tickets ranged from around $100 for bottom dollar to over $500 for top dollar?
