Obviously impossible to tell, we don't know what shows are past September..........lots of rumors but nothing concrete yet for that part

To my count, last year was 40 shows which was heavier than usual. It will take a good Oct, Nov and Dec to equal or better that. You figure after Japan it is 4 shows. Hearing nothing in May, June or August hurts that quest. We will see

That's usually the very end of the month into September. He has regularly toured in August since his return to the road in the current format in '09.

I had to look it up on his website (tour archives) 2011: He was off Aug 5 - Nov 12 2012: Off May 11 - Nov 10 2013: Off Aug 15 - Nov 10 2014: Off Aug 15 - Sept 27 2015: Off July 10 - Oct 12 2016: Off Aug 19 - Oct 3

Right, so he's only actually taken off 2 years in August: 2012 & 2015. In 2009 and 2010 he went until August 19th. SO, I'd say out of the past eight years of recent touring, it is unusual for him to not play at all in August or outright "take off".

But your statement is correct. Very true, too! I think a fair assessment would be that he usually takes off "towards the end of the summer".
