I had heard : The former Beatle performs in Belo Horizonte, Mineir?o, on October 17, with a tour commemorating the 50th anniversary of the release of the 1967 album Sargent Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band. The information was confirmed to the State of Minas Gerais on Wednesday, 19. Don't know if it is true or not...

South American venue and Promoters are notorious for not being able to keep their mouths shut. I'm sure there is partial truth to it, I highly doubt this tour has anything to do with Sgt Pepper, at all! But those SA shows will not be among the next set of announcement and maybe not even the ones after that. These venues have keep their mouths shut. Lots of news to come out prior to those shows

I was thinking the very same thing. Paul has never...EVER been one to acknowledge any anniversaries as a tour concept. MAYBE every rare once in a while but the only example I can think of is the 50th ann. for the Ed Sullivan Show through the Grammy's. I keep saying it and it seems like everyone just keeps ignoring it to get excited over nothing, but Paul does NOT make these connections. He always says he doesn't hardly know his own history, dates etc. 2017 is going to be another Chapter in the One on One Tour.

I agree. Maybe they are just bringing up Sgt Pepper to get the people excited.

So far the next set of venues have kept the secrets to this date! Will be interesting to see reaction to a very particular thing. Lol!

Is it the Greenbrier Classic concert in WV? I told the governor he needed to book Paul & he told me that he's tried. Maybe he was successful this time??? That would be SOOOO awesome!

The funny thing is, SA does not need a gimmick to get people excited, these rumored cities will generate more than enough excitement for a Paul show. And by all accounts, we are staring down the barrel of a new album, looks like in the last quarter so I would completely doubt that Sgt Pepper would be the hook and not the new album

Would your answer be the same if I asked about UK dates?

Oh boy. This sure has me curious. Smaller venues perhaps? Playing several dates in Las Vegas like Ringo is doing (not the same dates as Ringo)? Having a guest performer? Any one else have any guesses?
