Vancouver, BC- BC Place- July 6- CONFIRMED

Just announced on Paul's Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/PaulMcCartney/photos/a.488766413312/10157242973653313/?type=3&theater

Probably the only Northwest show. Guess they're counting on a lot of out of towners to fill the seats on a Saturday at BC Place stadium, as he didn't sell out either night at Rogers arena mid-week in April 2016.
Hope he mixes up the setlist from last time, but not counting on it, other than new tunes from ES.

YAY!!! I am jumping for joy! So very EXCITED and I hope I can get tickets!

hmm...are you sure about that about Vancouver 2016 visits? i went to both nights and it was packed and wiki shows it as being sold out...
im actually surprised by this announcememnt; will be his 4th time since 2012...but im going!!

I went both nights in 2016 too and I remember it being packed to the rafters.

Yes, both shows were full, but not sold out. There were tickets below face on Stubhub in the days leading up to them. Promoters make sure all gigs are four-walled.

just wondering if you were at concerts and do you have a link/source to this? the Stubhub thing happens all the time so that is not unusual in itself...

That always happens. Wait until just before the concert and you will find tickets for less than face value. They don't all sell at inflated prices. That is the risk of the reseller business. They can lose money too!

This post is slightly off topic but I just wanted to say I visited Vancouver last May for the first time (cruise stop) and my wife and I loved it, very beautiful city.

Yeah, went to one of the shows in 2016 and got premium tickets for a discounted price at the box office. It's the usual Ticketmaster strategy, not putting all tickets on the market at first, pumping up the price on secondary market, and then making more and more sections available gradually.

kinda surprised ticket details not announced yet...

I just got my confirmed verified fan email (yay!) with info that I'll be getting a text with a link and code to purchase tomorrow. I'm not seeing anything with prices for the tix yet. Does anyone know what the range is for tix and all the packages? I think I'm doing Gold again but would like to know how much first.

Hi there! Just received my presale confirmation too
Phew!!!
I have pricing info for the VIP packages that I received from ticketmaster.ca when I inquired last week - they could not confirm 'regular' priced tickets however.
Package prices are as follows:
• Front Row Hot Sound: $2100.00
• Hot Sound: $1600.00
• Diamond Hot Seat: $850.00
• Gold Hot Seat: $700.00
• Silver Hot Seat: $475.00Undecided what to do.....it's a pretty big stadium.
Good luck!

it would be ticketmaster.ca so would be canadian funds...saves 40% or so!!

Vancouver promoters have a habit of inflating prices for shows. For example, last time for Paul at BC Place in 2012, I believe most, if not all of the floor and the lower bowl were $250-ish, while 7 months later at SafeCo Field in Seattle, only the three front middle floor tiers were $250-ish, the rest was $175-ish. (Dollar was much better exchange rate then too).
I also remember when Roger Daltrey played the Commodore Ballroom in 2009, tickets were around $100. Next night at The Showbox in Seattle (same capacity), tickets were less than $50. Annoying.
Got my 'verified fan' presale code, but not counting on anything. Seems like it's just media relations to make people think tickets are going to 'real' fans and not bots/scalpers, but I think it's all bs.
I know Phish tried a 'verified fan' thing a few weeks ago for their summer tour, where if you had a code you got access to the best seats when they went onsale to the general public, but a lot of folks said their password didn't work or if it did, they got their order dumped before checkout. A real disaster.

There have been 2000+ people in line in front of me since the queue opened 10 minutes ago. Not very optimistic about my chances of getting anything today...
