Unless you are a Motörhead fan wearing a band t shirt at a gig is wrong it's such a sight that you are sad and past it. Well that's according the the NME

Unless you live in a place where they stone you for wearing the "wrong" clothes, it shouldn't matter what other people choose to wear at a concert.

What about wearing a Wings shirt or a Beatles shirt to a Macca gig? Still wrong?

What about wearing the shirt you just bought in the venue?

Not my rules lol. Apparently it's rock concert etiquette. The article goes on to say it's mainly fat men of a certain age that actually tuck the shirts in to brushed denim jeans that break this golden role. But it does say that the odd classic t shirt such as a black T. rex electric warrior or White Bowie Alladin Sane shirts are exceptable no matter what event. Shirts bought on the night of a show should be worn when travelling back home only and when on holiday or at a festival

So there are now rules of etiquette for what to wear to a rock concert and how to wear it? This is so NOT what rock and roll is all about.

                    New York City-1989; Boston-1990; Raleigh, N.C.-1990, 2002; Columbia, S.C.-1993, 2015 Charlotte, N.C.-1993, 2010; Toronto-2010-MULL OF KINTYRE AT LAST!!   Cincinnati-2011; Washington, D.C.-2013; Atlanta-1990. 1993. 2002, 2005, 2009, 2014. Knoxville-2022

The only scenario I can think of when wearing the wrong t-shirt can be a no-no is when the frontman can be a paranoid, control-freak punk -- like when Axl Rose had people thrown out of his shows for wearing Slash's Snakepit shirts in the front-row. Stuff like that. But, other than that, it's not like we're talking about rival pro-sports teams, and some character wears a Cubs jersey at a Mets game (not sure if that's a good example -- I don't follow sports). And, even then, I don't give a rat's ass.

Last time i saw Guns N roses our t shirts were checked for just that reason and that was what 2012 or so. The NME stopped being relevant back in 1980 so i wouldnt take any notice of what they say but i ask this question,is it right to wear a "concert" t shirt from say 1973 soprting Led Zep on it when you're currently 18? So i ask this should you only own the concert t shirt of the tour you went to? Or is it late here or am i rambling?

I used to have a couple but I think I just lost interest for my collection(not enough room and damage). Didn't really like the Good Night Europe one, but liked the 1989\90(?) one.
