I was just joking around. I envisioned her with these huge bags of hundreds of picks.

Well, last year at the sound check in Austin there was no Shelley. We got the backpack and laminate and a reusable black bag. It wasn't until I got back home to San Diego that I discovered the 2013 Out There guitar pick down in the bottom of the black bag. So, make sure that you check your "swag" thoroughly--there might be a surprise just waiting to be discovered!

It's black and says: "OUT THERE Paul McCartney" in grey--no year on it.

They gave some out this year at some soundchecks...but not the one I was at.
I think if Shelley is going to give them out,all the soundcheckers at ALL the shows should get one. How much time would it take to give us the pick as we are walking into the SC?. I know a couple of fans who always manage to get every freebie there is,every show they go to. I'm never one of them ! lol. I want one !
I think maybe that in Chicago, Paul came on stage really quickly and there wasn't time for her to do it. The band is usually "out there" well before he arrives and there is lots of jamming going on while they wait for him. In Chicago, it seemed like they were all onstage and getting ready to start the jamming and then suddenly, there was Paul, no waiting.
Yea they all were onstage suddenly.We barely got into our lineup when I suddenly saw Wix already behind keyboard,then Rusty,Abe,Brian,omg it's Paul ! I still think we could have got them either going down to sc or leaving it. Oh well. ! I searched my bag & my bag from last year,nothing

Oh how I hope we get guitar picks in Nashville. I collect picks from all my favorite guitar players and to have one from Paul would be AMAZING!

Rusty tossed a pick towards me at the 2002 Cleveland show. I had been punctuating his solos with my hands and had a shirt with his name on it. Unfortunately it bounced on the ground right in front of me and I lost sight of it. Need to invent a pick-catcher!

I was hoping for a pick too! Shelly was there but no picks were offered. After I read this thread, I also went thru the backpack completely . . .nada
Seems like it was an Albany thing only . . .first show and all?
