Extremely sad!!!

I was working from home today so I was watching all of this live on the news. So so sad.

Many Miracles have occured and are occuring since the tragedy. Hoping and Believing that they will have it done by the 2024 Paris Olympics and the Return of Jesus within the next 10 years. All of the God Math is pointing solidly for that to be.

When I worked in Paris, I lived just across Pont Saint-Louis from the cathedral. We couldn't see it from our windows, but we could see our building from the north tower, past the spire. The first time I climbed the million steps up the tower, I thought the east view would be better without the spire in the way. Now I feel guilty.
I don't know how many times I walked by the church, and not just for the metro and RER stations. My morning jogs usually took me along Promenade sur les quais de la Seine, which might be the best view of Île de la Cité.
It's a beautiful building, inside and out, and not especially crowded on early morning weekdays. The crypte archéologique is a fascinating place to visit and generally ignored by most visitors.

A look at work on Notre Dame and It's restoration. It is quite a project...so glad I had been able to see it and look forward to seeing it in the future. God bless the firemen who saved it!!!

Last I had heard there was some question about whether it could be restored or not. I'm sure its restoration will take some time.

Thankfully, a full 3D laser scanning of Notre Dame was performed in 2015. This will assist the architects in an exact reconstruction, which is what the French are insisting on. There was a similar cathedral in York UK which caught on fire and has been restored. In particular, the stained glass restorers have volunteered to help at Notre Dame.
Looking for a video I watched the other day, detailing the latest restoration. Here is one article explaining the laser 3D process with some photos.
