Sir Paul never hits southwest Texas and it irks me. I have tried just about everything I can think of. posting here, demanding him on eventful, and email. Any other sugestions. I relly would apprciate it.
Welll, I know some of these aren't exactly South West but...sometimes we gotta travel a little....since he began solo tours (so not counting beatles or wings) he's played in texas numerous times... 1993- Dallas 1993- San Antonio 2002- Dallas 2002- Houston 2005- Dallas 2005- Houston 2009- Dallas Seems like Dallas is the city to take a Paul trip to...
I really, really wish he'd come back. I 'd love to see Paul in my hometown. Or Austin, at least. Plus, 18 years is a long time to wait for the older San Antonio fans!

Strange he has never played Austin. That is a BIG music town.
-
Not familiar with Austin but is there a venue large enough? I know there are venues there as it is a big music town but not sure.
-
Could we start a rumor? It seems like everyone else does about Paul and where he'll play next... wink Okay, so I'm going to revive a story that I started here a few years ago about a three-day music festival I was jokingly going to create on a 200-acre property in Vermont. It would be three days of everything related to Paul, music, art work, Ben & Jerry's, vegetarian cooking, animals, Ben & Jerry's, booths set up by charity organizations, Ben & Jerry's, and every day would end with a concert by, you guessed it, Paul. I dubbed it Maccastock. Any takers? lol

Only if you "centralize" it more. ummmm...how bout in Chicago? just so more people can make it....jus sayin
-
Hey, Paul has been to Chicago once or twice, but never played in Vermont. ) Now you guys can travel to me. twisted Maccastock would, of course, run its own airline so Paul fans the world over can travel, cheaply, to the site, so don't worry. ) We'll rival Virgin Airlines as the coolest airline ever. You'll be able to listen to Paul albums for free, and we'll have a Beatles Rockband set-up in the rear of the plane. Maccastock provides for all. wink
-
walliebaby you didn't pump stuart bell when you met him at the ballet on thursday, for info on upcoming shows???
-
Nope, I didn't. We chatted for a bit, but more about how younger folks like my students still love the Beatles and Paul, and he told me a few amusing stories about young children recognizing Paul from Rockband. I think that any information on shows will be released in a public fashion, not to individual fans. wink

Where in Vermont? I know that one venue could be in Stowe, at the annual Concert in the Meadow up at the Von Trapp lodge. He could close the show with "Goodbye, Farewell" with the Trapp singers and outrun the Nazis on his way to his next show in Chicago.

I was being facetious.
-
Anywhere in Vermont would work, but the Trapp Family Lodge would be a nice setting--beautiful scenery. I'm thinking Southern Vermont, myself. Gnome--I couldn't tell you were being facetious--feel free to use an emoticon, as it's hard to read tone from typed words. wink

Oh jeez, don't get me started! They get all the all good tours. We get the crap. I must admit, I'm really jealous of all the cool concerts Austin gets!
-
Am I correct in assuming that the Austin City Limits series on PBS is in Austin, TX? It seems like a silly question, but there are a few Austin's around the country. )

I've been REALLY considering doing SXSW one of these years. The variety of bands is staggering.
-
SXSW is quite the impressive festival, not that I've been, mind you, but reading the list of performers each year, I wonder why I'm not there attending. The up and coming (Paul?) artists they feature is also a reason I'd like to go. One of my former student's bands was featured a few years ago on the up and coming stage. Quite a proud moment for me. )
-
How about a headline of Bonnaroo?
-
Hey Paul. come and blow away San Diego!
-
there was a rumour that when he hits 70 he may call it a day or scalethings down ,just hope this is not true guys and gals
