If this pans out, I wouldn't blame him for going back. Awesome audiences over there.

He would be giving us a "break" by returning.

I agree. After that powerhouse concert in Liverpool does he not get the idea that we love him over here too? He could sell out a few nights in the Echo! And the amount of Brazilians and Mexicans and Americans that came over the other night!

                  20/12/09 - Good Evening Dublin
12/06/10 - Up and Coming Dublin
18/12/10 - Live at the Apollo, Hammersmith
20/12/11 - On the Run, Liverpool

Agreed. There's also so many countries he's either not done or hasn't done in ages.

Is there more money to be made out of American concerts? Let's remember that he took ages to bring his Driving Rain tour over to the UK (or whatever it was called by 2003).

Probably considering the size of America and the capacity of the venues (Yankee stadium etc).

Paul's biggest paydays these days are from live shows and not from album sales. Because of mp3 sales these days, artists don't make money from sales of their songs on mp3 or cds because people other than diehard fans aren't buying cds. This is the new reality of the recording artist/musician. It may be easier for new bands to break via internet, but the days are gone of the payouts from album sales. Paul sells out wherever he plays in the US...and they charge the US fans the highest ticket prices in the world, so from a business sense, there is loads of money for him to make in the US. The fact that he doesn't book more than a one or two nights at various in UK venues would indicate that he and his business advisors don't think he could sell out multiple nights at the O2 in London or at Echo Arena. That's not a criticism of the real fans like us, I think it is just a reality of how the music business goes in the UK.

Nah, an Echo arena residency would have a better atmosphere. The O2 London is the worst venue I have ever been to.

Paul doubled his income last year... "The former Beatle has almost doubled his earnings in the past year. Me, too, Joe and Wix! I've become very spoiled the last 3 years, and so have my two young nieces who have accompanied me to the shows. We all say: Please, please come back to the NY area again this year, Paul! (NJ would be perfect, thank-you!)
