Redeem download of Pipes of Peace failed.
-
asI got halfway downloading my Download card of Pipes of Peace and some downloads failed. I pressed the Retry Dowload button on my browser but got a "Download Failed" message. I reloaded the page and now couldn't not access the tracks that failed getting a “Sorry, this media item is no longer available using this access code” message.

A few weeks ago I have alerted our tech team to the issues some members are experiencing with redeeming the downloads and have been told that they are aware of the problem and are working on a solution. Needless to say that I will pass on any news that I will receive!

Nobody seems to be able to download any of the older sets. I'm going to see if I can download the Flaming Pie I recently received. Will get back to you tomorrow.

Do you think that there is a time limit attached to these downloads? Sometimes I will buy a new product (a book or whatever) which has an offer attached (usually a competition) but because the product is a year or two out of date, the offer is no longer available. So for example if I now bought a new copy of the Ram Archive box-set, would the downloads still be available after all this time?

Yeah, I think there must be a time limit (although there shouldn't be!) I'm downloading Flaming Pie on my laptop right now. Only doing 2 sections at a time - takes forever!

The only box-sets I've bought were for Ram, McCartney and McCartney II (all at the time of release) and to be honest I never attempted to download anything as I'm just not interested in the process. Give me music on a physical format any day of the week.

I actually agree. Just wanted to see if it would work okay for FP. I downloaded all the others (have all except At The Speed Of Sound) but bought them and downloaded when they were originally released. For FP, part 5 never downloaded though. I don't really care.

I think if these downloads are a kind of added on 'limited in time special offer' and are not being seen as part of the package (like the book or postcards or whatever),then MPL should clearly state that in advance. It does seem that too many fans are buying up these 'new' box-sets months (if not years) after their initial release and are then disappointed that the download offers are no longer being honoured.
Then again of course, the problems might be totally unrelated to the passing of time?

When I try to download Wing's Greatest, I get the following:
Temporarily Down for Maintenance.
Our maintenance that has been delayed. Please check back.
...
For the past week or two. So that's encouraging.
