Yep, Stevie Riks.

Yep, Stevie Riks.
Thought it was him too! Great show, replays On Demand.

Nice long interview with Paul tonight - it's worth a watch.
Also, did anyone notice Stephen's house band playing Getting Closer and Hot As Sun before/after the commercial breaks?
Yes, John Batiste even sung the lyrics of Getting Closer, a bit. What was the name of the big band or show tune classic right at the beginning?
And there were even colored daisies at the bottom of the screen in the beginning. Kinda like the 60's...

Are you talking about what they were playing when Stephen Colbert walks out? It’s his theme song:

Even though Paul showed the unaltered photo on national TV, I was quite sure that wouldn’t fly here, so here ya go. Arthur is an adult and next year, Elliot will be too.

LOL!

Finally, to a degree McCartney can't control the questions he is asked but once again I wish interviewer would forget the 1962-69 years and ask him things that are more current. BTW - he looked good and like that he no longer colors his hair.
I think he CAN control what questions are asked...to a degree. He was there to promote the book so of course it was. I think Paul wants them to ask Beatley questions...that is what he has prepared stories for. But I too wish they would ask more current things.
And I agree that his hair color is looking great!
Agreed! Awful interview. The same questions and nonsense. I'd love to hear an interviewer not mention the Beatles, and talk about the 50 years of work since.
The future book titles book was insulting and embarrassing.

I know you’re entitled to your opinion, just wish you wouldn’t always be so negative about everything. At least oobu24 said his hair color looked great!

Hey now. Don't put words in my mouth. I didn't say the interview was bad. I said I think Paul does control the questions.

Thanks for the response, I'll have to listen again, don't believe it's the one I was thinking of.

Had the impression those questions came from someone who either went to one concert or perhaps watched a concert on you tube. Of course, people like those of us who have interest in the last 50 years, will continue to be disappointed. Interesting that Paul picked up the "questions" card. Not enough research was done on the titles... they could have been so much better. The comedy for Trump is so much more spot on, because his story is better known.
Paul's hair is finally perfect!!! So cute the way he was dancing too... Paul was his beautiful self and really enjoyed watching him being himself.

I know you didn’t say the interview was bad! Was just using the hair color bit as a joke!

Watching the interview again, On Demand. I am really enjoying it much better the second time around! JL4761 and I are watching it while on the phone and JL is giving me some background on certain things mentioned...changing my review to 5 stars... Paul was really really animated, enjoyable and in a really fun space.
It was really well put together from the beginning to the end. I guess I was hoping for more about Wings and solo Paul, however, seeing it again, it was a great job and all together, a lot of fun!!! Even the commercials were good, Amazon watch.org about the fires in the Amazon some other cool commercials.
So we're watching it again another thumbs up on the great hair by JL4761!!!

His monologue was funny. The last bit was about the suitcase & Egypt Station.

Did you figure out which song you were talking about?

Viewer Alert! At the end of Friday's Colbert Show, (Oct 4th) they did a promo that there would be more with Paul next week, probably as an extra segment not aired when Paul did his interview with Stephen. That "new" segment will probably be included in one of the Late Show episodes the week of Oct 7th -Oct 11th

"More with Paul McCartney" will be shown on Thursday night's Late Show with Stephen Colbert (October 10). On Wednesday night's show they announced it going into a commercial break. Thank you to Joyce for giving us the heads-up that there would be "more"!
