I'm writing from north Italy, so I'm in the middle of this mess.

I can assure you that our health service is very efficient and I'm quite sure that we have all these cases because our capillarity in controlling. Thousand and thousand of tampons were made and our hospitals are ready to verify and isolate each case. Currently the disease was finite into specific areas, so I believe that in few weeks everything will turn back into normality. And if not... I think it won't be anymore just for Italy.

You've never felt the rain, my friend, till you've felt it running down your back!

Thanks for the update. I'm optimistic that everything will have returned to normal before June and we'll have a party at the piazza. Best wishes to all of you over there!

Paul's concerts will happen in cities that are far away from the currently infected regions. Perhaps some of our Italian members can offer their opinions, as well as more accurate and updated info.

Actually the situation is that in north of Italy schools are still closed, but it should be the last week. Starting from today all the venues is opening again, even if for smaller groups.

In general, this virus acts like a normal flu but in some cases like older people with previous and serious diseases it could be dangerous. The reason behind these restrictions (museums , theaters, cinemas closed last week and with reduced opening this week) is to limit the possibility to block hospitals because too many sick people.

I believe that in the following 2-3 weeks everything will be back to normality.

I've been wondering about the impact of the virus too, though I'm going to the Nijmegen show and not the ones in Italy. Hopefully everything will be okay by the time the tour starts.

Italy has not yet decided whether to close schools and universities over the novel coronavirus, Education Minister Lucia Azzolina said, after ANSA and other Italian agencies said they will be shut until mid-March.

The minister came out of a government meeting where new measures were being discussed by top ministers to explain that a final ruling on schools and universities will come "in the next hours".

Repubblica Napoli - today. In the news he said "McCartney's concert goes to postponement"
                        =/
They don't want to cancel, but postpone. Maybe for July or September, if not for 2021

I think the tour will be postponed to the next summer.

If I understood it correctly, TicketOne is claiming that a new Italian law allows them to offer a voucher (instead of a refund) for cancelled events:

                              https://www.ticketone.it/campaign/covid-19/

"Il nuovo Decreto-legge prevede il rimborso tramite voucher dei biglietti degli eventi annullati da utilizzare per l’acquisto di biglietti inerenti ad altri eventi futuri programmati dall’organizzatore".

It also seems that they don't want to refund tickets to events that have been postponed:"Per gli eventi che sono stati rinviati, di norma, non sono previsti rimborsi".

Given that artists such as Roger Waters and Ringo have postponed their tours until next year now, I can't really see Paul playing any shows this year anywhere.

Not in June. I'm waiting for the rescheduled dates. I wish they would offer the option of a refund, but it seems that's not going to happen.

Dear friends, both Italian concerts officially cancelled.

Here the link to see the press release of D'Alessandro e Galli: https://www.dalessandroegalli.com/events/632/paul-mccartney

I've personally bought my tickets with Event Travel that wrote me that they are going to refund tickets starting from the 18th of May. I'm not sure what is going to happen with Ticketone. I'm Italian, so if I understand how to ask for the total refund (not voucher) I will write here immediately.

Most of all, I'm very sorry for not attending the show 😞

You've never felt the rain, my friend, till you've felt it running down your back!

I'm not sure what is going to happen with Ticketone. I'm Italian, so if I understand how to ask for the total refund (not voucher) I will write here immediately.

                                            https://www.ticketone.it/campaign/en/covid-19/

"Tickets for the events that have been cancelled due to the COVID-19 health emergency and were scheduled between March, 8 2020 and May, 17 2020 will be reimbursed through a voucher."

Paul's concerts were scheduled for June, so I believe TicketOne is not entitled to offer refunds through vouchers.
