well done! seems like every time i do something like that i get in trouble, banned, or post deleted. Also, after Coming Up the fans chant, "Paul McCartney, Pau McCartney..." and I do believe Sir Paul comes back his own chant saying, "Kenny Dalglish, Kenny Dalglish*..." Is that what I'm hearing? * Scottish/Liverpool football legend.

Yes, you are hearing it correctly! I was there that night, up in the "gods".
when everyone was chanting and clapping and stomping, the balcony was actually shaking. I believe that was the last song of the set so everyone was chanting for the encore. Paul came back on stage and chanted out Kenny's name and stomped a bit himself.

ha ha ha! BRILLIANT! This is a personal mystery to me that I have been trying to solve for 37 years! it's probably discussed on here somewhere else but who knows?

A bit later on with more chanting going on, Paul also briefly chants "Lou Macari" - who was playing for Manchester United at the time if I remember correctly.

I think he said his Dad's family were Evertonians and there's photos of Paul going to Wembley for the 1968 FA Cup Final (Everton v West Brom). But in that slightly annoying way he has he sits on the fence and says he supports both Everton and Liverpool. But basically, as with the other Beatles, I don't think he has much more than a passing interest in football (thankfully!). To quote Somedays, "It's no good asking me what time of day it is, who won the match or scored the goal"

oh yeah. also, the bootleg is absolutely %&*$ quality. i made an mp3 of it anyway. lol. the actual playing seems to be pretty sloppy, imho. hard to believe that the Coming Up single was taken from that show. i guess the official recording sounds a lot better. that single is one of my all time favorites though. i got a big kick out of the conversation with the audience right before they launch into it, "...most of the songs we've done this evening have probably been released in one form or another... this one might come out next year..." leads me to believe there was going to be another Wings LP for 1980... anyone know if this is true?
