This is very scary and we all need to be sensible and take things seriously. But it is also very importanT to keep your sense of humor and try not to let this pandemenic stress everyone out too much. My family and I have decided to self quarantine in order to protect ourselves as much as possible. Keeping everyone in my prayers and sending healing vibes to all.

OMG, I completely agree with Bruce. It is currently snowing in hell. Today I bought a salad from a local family owned cafe, a coffee from my favorite hole in the wall diner, and dropped off cleaning supplies at a KC Veteran's Center. We will get through this because even though we may disagree on politics, music, etc., we all on this site appear to agree on kindness.

It's GypsyGirl !! Hope all is well good to see you!
Just wanted to post the speech given by Boris Johnson Prime Minister in England. It was so well done, concerning the absolute care and concern about the people of his country. Was very touched by the thoughtfulness and care, put into this informative communique. He thanks everyone, puts on the experts to make sure it is accurate information. First off, their concern is the 1 1/2 million most vulnerable people in the country and how they will make sure they have food and pharmacy delivered to them and they are setting up emergency shelters if there is no family to care for them. Boris continues to go on to every subject, deferring to the experts, while staying calm and caring. Just great!

China is now recovering!!!
China is returning to life and very few people are getting the virus now!! Something to look forward to.
If you are running out of items, cordinate with friends, go through your food and medical items together. I was able to get everything on my wish list, except one item and swapped for items I had extras of. We wiped the items down put them in a bag and met half way. Opened our car doors to air out a moment...switched our bags to the other car, kept the 6 ft distance... air hugs and air kisses and we were off.
Both of us happier with our new found items. Took them home, wiped them again. I now have eggs and toilet paper and she has alcohol and bandaids and ketchup, gloves and a lot of other happy little items that meant alot to each of us.

Panic buying is idiotic. The only reason there are shortages is because of people buying 3x more than they need. Please do not do it.
And also, please, please support your local small businesses that will really struggle and may or may not get any sort of government help. If the local independent coffeeshop where you like to hang out is still selling to-go, buy something. Or if they sell gift cards, buy one. There's a lovely little independent bookstore near me that's now closed but selling through their front gate if you call, email or just drop by and ask for something. So I went today to buy the next book I plan to read, even though I won't finish the one I'm on for a couple weeks, because I know they're losing business right now.
Agreed! We've decided to get delivery twice a week from local small restaurants in our area here in the East Bay to try to support them.

We can't find any toilet paper around us and we are almost out ugh! Can't even find any online. All those panic buyers and hoarders, makes me so angry!
I know. I luckily bought an 18 MEGA roll pack before all the hoarding started.
Are you on NextDoor? (see the app) You could ask your neighbors if they have any to spare (or sell)
I was thankfully finally able to find some! Should be here Thurs or Friday!

Amazon is out of Kleenex brand tissue. I have it on my Subscribe & Save list to be delivered around April 1st. Doubt I'll get any, so ordered a 2-ply off brand - 6 cube size boxes which worked out to only 2 cents per tissue. Also bought (for my mom) a ceramic orange tabby cat (like we have) that you insert the box into and the tissues dispense from it!

Great decision, we don't know how it will be until then and even so, if it were in July and August, countries would not train equally #FairPlay

Sad news... Prince Charles tested positive for the Coronavirus From link below it seems that he may have contracted the virus from Prince Albert of Monaco who just tested positive. They both (as well as the Queen) attended an event together recently. Camilla tested negative for the virus. Hope the Queen is ok! She and Prince Philip are in self-isolation.
