        Well, the wonderful Let It Be album had THREE #1 songs; the title track, the tremendous The Long and Winding Road, and the very cool rocker Get Back.  All three sung and written by Paul.  Of course John was slightly ticked.

        "This is for all the Wings fans!" - McCartney introducing "1985" for the first time on American soil (Phoenix 2010)

          Lennon benefited from those three hits, but Lennon was not crazy of a film crew being there and wanted them to go away.  But accepted the project anyhow.

            And there are many McCartney songs that Lennon loved so what if he did not like it. I am sure he appreciated the money he got from being listed as co-writer of the song.
