So how is the tour? Minus the gap, how is the new stage, video screen floor (predicted it!) New visuals, new songs... How is the show compared to Up and Coming/OTR?! Was it better? Place a consumers report here...

      7/15/11- Yankee Stadium
      6/8/13- Barclays Center
      7/5/14- Times Union Center
      8/7/16- MetLife Stadium
      9/15/17- Madison Square Garden

      Thank you Paul!

I predict people will say this is the best tour yet. I can't say since I have not seen every tour. But it seems to be comparable to the previous ones, but not better or worse.

I haven't seen it but it's clearly not his best tour! A good few dubious song choices, some awful vocals from what I've heard of some shows and a few songs that he just seems reluctant to give the boot for some unknown reason. Still, I cannot wait for Warsaw!!

Every review I've read has said he's in good voice (for his age, of course; no one is expecting him to sound 40). And I've read a ton of comments on Twitter and Facebook, etc., saying he's singing better than he has in several years. I'll find out myself in July. But I never judge vocals off of YouTube videos of concert footage. They always sound off. And you always hear some idiots singing along in the background. And I love the set list. Its' going to be 19 songs I've never heard him do before. Bring it on.

I'm not going to post the video with horrendous vocals because IMO it's unfair on the people who were at the show to criticise their own special McCartney experience...but trust me, if you heard it you would agree!! In general though, he has been in good voice. I'm not sure why he insists on struggling through Maybe I'm Amazed though. It ranges from bad to darn right horrendous.

A day in the life is an important piece of music to pair with perhaps one of the most banal songs ever written was criminal in my eyes,Lennon wrote far better than give peace a chance,i couldnt get my head round the fact Paul paired these 2 songs..but anyways i am rambling.. Is this his best tour? no its not he's not at his peak anymore and that's fine because frankly a "below" par Paul blows most if not all other artists away.

Yes. Would you need to attend Wings' '76 tour to know that it is miles ahead better than Wings' '79 shows?

Fortunately, the American leg has seen improved vocals, barring a couple of nearly un-listenable "Maybe I'm Amazed" performances. Memphis seems to be the first performance of the whole tour where he was in fine vocal form from beginning to end. To me, this is not his best tour because its setlist -- despite some Wings songs we thought we'd never hear live again -- is overall inferior, compared to '09-'11. It is 99.9% oldies. Paul McCartney is better than that.

Shit, I don't care. It was one of the best nights of my life and he sounded amazing for almost 71! Of course you can't compare it with WOA in 1976 where he was at his freaking peak vocally (and sexy as hell, I might add!) But he was a damn sight better than the Jubilee or the Olympics, that's for sure! (well, I know this post will be censored!)

I haven't seen much mention of Paul's between songs banter. Has it changed at all, or is he still telling the same stories? (If he is, that is a shame, because if anyone has stories to tell, it would be Paul. Can you just imagine what stories he could tell? I would love to hear more of them!)

^the only complaint about banter I've read is that he is telling some Spanish poem about bunnies (?) from when he was a kid that I guess he's told many times in the past?

In regards to in between song banter it is pretty much the same. But that said, probably for 90% of the people at the Memphis show who don't travel show to show, had last seen him in 1993 or don't frequent a Macca Board the stories were fun and entertaining.

I've seen every US tour from 1989-90 onward... including Out There. This is NOT his best tour, by a long shot. But it's still a damn good show!

It really is subjective. For first timers, THIS is the best tour. If you always wanted to hear ALL TOGETHER NOW live, THIS is the best tour. Really, it is about what you prefer. ALL McCartney's tours are great, there isn't a dud in there. 1976 was the BEST if you are a Wings fan. 1989 was GREAT for his comeback. 1993 was FANTASTIC as it was a new set list, LP and tour. 2002 was AMAZING for it being his first time on stage in nine years. Which band was the best? All of them are great, it really depends on which you prefer. Trying to decide who was better, Rusty, Robbie, Lawrence, Jimmy, or Henry, is like asking who is better, Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, or Jeff Beck? They are all great, just different. To me, this tour is an extension of what McCartney has been doing since 2009, it really is not the "minty fresh" tour I was expecting. That doesn't mean it's BAD, it just isn't anything different enough to motivate me to travel out of state to see it.

Very well stated RMartinez!! I went to the Austin Shows--did soundcheck/hotsound pkg the first night. I have waited my whole life to see a Beatle in concert. I have no complaints whatsoever. I think those were 2 of the most exciting nights of music I've ever had. Yes, I'm a first-timer and yes I went with an open heart, mind and ears and got everything I was expecting and more. It was only when I came to this website's forums that I felt let down. It seems that many people here are SO jaded and just want to criticize the set list-- criticize Paul's voice-- criticize the between- song banter, yada, yada, yada!! I really feel that all of you nitpickers should stop and think about your critical stances. I think that we should feel privileged to breathe the same air to walk the same ground as this ultimate music ICON. The fact that he chooses to entertain us at almost 71 I find amazing and thrilling! Go ahead--tell me I'm all "pizza and fairy tales"--and I will thank you for it!! Peace and love, people!
