THE TRAILER IS BETTER THAN THE MOVIE -
I have this on DVD from ages ago.

I've not seen the trailer for Give my regards to Broad Street, but I did see the film, and the trailer probably is better ! I remember thinking that it would have made a good extended music video, but it was a disaster as a film. What on earth was Paul thinking ? Sir Ralph Richardson must have asked that question too - a great Shakespearean actor like him deserved a better end to his career than a walk-on in a turkey. However, the music was OK (some of it !)

The music was the only thing that saved it! (for me, anyway)
Plus, Paul was gorgeous and Ringo was funny! ("Are we practicing to be Eskimos?" - is that the line or is it Canadians?)

I've only seen GMRTBS once and that was at its London premier. I would like to meet the guy who told Paul that he could act as I'd dearly love to smack him in the mouth.

Franco Zeffirelli wanted him to play Romeo in the 1968 movie "Romeo and Juliet!" So glad he turned it down and they got Len Whiting. Much more age-appropriate (Len turned 17 during the filming and Olivia Hussey was only 16)

Buy the soundtrack (Produced by George Martin) or pieces of it.
COME TOGETHER - Aerosmith (Grestest Hits)
GOT TO GET YOU INTO MY LIFE - Earth Wind & Fire (Greatest Hits)
