D'Alessandro&Galli and Ticketkone.it are criminals comitting theft and bank fraud. I don't care what country's laws you live under! I bought VIP for both shows so I am out almost 800 Euros! I can try recouping through my travel insurance but I suspect they will not cover canceled concerts! Do they realize that they are losing potential future customers? I will NEVER consider another show in Italy offered by this promotor or Ticketone nor, as much as I love Italy, do I have the inclination to ever visit a country again that allows such laws to ripoff consumers. Not even Paul could induce me to come back again.
same, I will never buy tickets for a concert in Italy ever again, what a scam
A concert in Italy is a complete different experience: locations are historical, people is warm, the whole atmosphere is magic. Imagine singing your favourite tunes beneath roman walls.
But I understand your frustration, there's nothing else I can say. I'm Italian and I feel sad for all of us. They are trying to save the music industry in Italy withouth thinking of the customers, especially the ones coming from abroad.

The local press is now aware of the situation. The italian Rolling Stone just published the article "Why who bought tickets for Paul McCartney should attend a Céline Dion concert?" collecting hundreds of (upset) comments in their social medias. That's quite true, I will never spend that amount of money for anybody else.
At the same time, it looks official that the only way to get a refound will be through vouchers on Ticketone. The requests will be accepted until June 17.
and if we dont request vouchers we will never be refunded? how is this legal?

The issue of the voucher is contained in the "Cura Italia Decree" of the Italian government concerning the corona virus measures, but the European Commission intervened against the choice of "Cura Italia" to exclude the reimbursement, instead favoring the voucher, judging it in stark contrast to European standards. For the EU the consumer must be able to choose the most convenient formula for him.
The Italian government has until May 28 to intervene and take appropriate measures on the issue of vouchers or refunds. Let's make a lot of noise everywhere, so that the Italian government revoke his position and favore the reimbursement. -

I used the "contact us" feature from their website, not exactly email but when I used this before they replied via email the next day. Now nothing.
Since I used Paypal, I also contacted them. I don't have a lot of hope but figure the more our position can be heard, the better.
any reply from PayPal, I also used PayPal so im hopeing they just refund us since its agaisnt eurpean law I think to keep our money ha
I received an automated response saying my message would be forwarded to Ticketone. I didn't send until pretty late last night so don't expect to get a real response from them until next week.

I apologize on behalf of hall onest italian people. In Italy we are not all like D'Alessandro& Galli.
It is I who apologize. My rant is directed solely at the promoter and the crooked politicians who allow this to happen. We know they do it because there is a lot of money in it for them. I love Italty, the food, culture, people and la dolce vita. Please take my suggestion and write to Paul's people at MPL Communications. I think our best bet for refunds is MPL putting immense pressure on these crooks.
I would love to write to "Paul's people" at MPL but not sure where to send. I looked at their website and I couldn't find an appropriate section that related to Paul's concerts. Can you help by telling me where to send a plea to intervene for our real refunds?

Let's keep up the pressure on McCartney, the Italian authorities, ticketone.it and the event organiser.

May I suggest that whoever has a Twitter account show this video to Paul's band members, his manager, his public relations company, Marshall Arts, TicketOne and the local promoter? It's another way of bringing attention to this issue and perhaps Paul will become aware of it.

They are talking about this on Facebook too and I posted the petition link. It's disgraceful what that ticket company/promoter is doing!

Thanks, I'll do that now!

Great work all; let's keep the pressure on!
-
It's a complete shame. Unacceptable.
I bought tickets for both shows for me and my family... more than 2.000 Euro.
I am not willing to pay this much for any other artist. Plus I seriously doubt Paul will ever play again in Italy.
I want my money back now. Paul should do something to put pressure on the promoters. He can't let fans down.

You're right. I'm hoping that Paul or someone of his staff reads this thread.

If anyone has connections with a newspaper, they should try to get this story printed. Preferably in London so maybe Paul's people will see it!

I got a reply from Paypal that my request was denied because I didn't file it within 180 days of original purchase. It was 181 days. If this Italian group wasn't so deceiving and had published the voucher garbage in a timely manner, I would have gotten a refund! I got a notification from Ticketmaster on May 8 regarding the Barcelona cancellation, and in fact another one today saying the credits have been processed! I've never been a fan of TM but they have climbed way above these Italian thieves.

Ticketmaster in France and Spain seem to be issuing real refunds without problems.
The promoter and the ticket seller in Italy are taking advantage of the Decree that allows refunds through vouchers. Have any other countries allowed that possibility?

If you want, you could fill in this module and send it to consultagiuridica@federconsumatori.it It's a consumer organization and they are doin their best to make changes to the government decree about vouchers.
