Didn't know George was a penny pincher, I thought Paul was the frugal Beatle (not saying that's a bad thing... he's been able to keep and amass a large fortune by not overspending.)

George was very astute when it came to money. Its no coincidence that he was the Beatle who wrote Taxman.

If he was so astute, how did he get taken in by Denis O'Brien, his manager/partner  who ripped him off for a bunch of money? I wonder if George ever saw any of the money he won in the lawsuit?

There has to be a point, when so much money is involved, that you have to placde trust in a friend, which George obviously did with Denis O'Brien. And unfortunately he got conned for being so trusting.

From the NEMSmemorabilia page on Instagram:

From late 1964...a few of the actors/actresses who played the Von Trapp siblings in the movie “The Sound of Music” [Angela Cartwright, Nicholas Hammond,  Heather Menzies, and Debbie Turner] took a break from filming and posed with their official Beatles mugs and tumblers. How faB and cool was this!

August 24, 1964 - Angela Cartwright meets the Beatles in Brentwood, California, at a garden party event

            From angelacartwright.com

In 1964 I met The Beatles during their first visit to the United States. I went to the Hollywood Bowl Concert, and the next day was invited to meet them. After loving their music for so many years the expression on my face says it all.

Veronica Cartwright, sister of Angela, was also an actress and met the Beatles on the same day as photo above.  At that time she played Fess Parker's daughter in the "Daniel Boone" TV series, and later was known for her work in "Invasion of the Body Snatchers," "Alien" and "The Witches of Eastwick" with Jack Nicholson.

Angela and Veronica were both born in England.

Sound of Music' Star, Heather Menzies-Urich, Dies At 68 | DoYouRemember?

                https://www.everythingzoomer.com/arts-entertainment/2017/04/13/heather-menzies-sound-of-music/

Audiences familiar with the Oscar-winning musical extravaganza will immediately recognize Menzies from her role as the flaxen-haired Louisa von Trapp, the second-eldest daughter of the gruff Captain von Trapp (Christopher Plummer). Loosely based on the hardships suffered by the Von Trapp Family singers, one of most famous concert groups in the years leading up to the outbreak of the Second World War, The Sound of Music featured the star power of songbird Julia Andrews and an eclectic cast of child performers, including Menzies who was tackling her first major movie role.

On what made her [Sound of Music] costars such a tight-knit group…
“Through the years there was always a reissue of the latest VHS or DVD or BluRay and, each time, we were asked to get together to promote the movie. We were brought together more so than any other project I’ve done over the years because The Sound of Music has never really gone away—it keeps finding new fans. Angela Cartwright [who plays Brigitta] and I lived close together both during and after filming, so we saw each other all the time. A lot of the moms became friends, too. Despite the age difference between Kym Karath [who plays little Gretl] and I, our moms became best friends. I’m even the godmother to Kym’s son. We’ve all had our ins and outs over the years and disagreed on things, like any real family—we’ve even hung up on each other, only to make up again later. Angela and I were particularly close because we were almost the same age and we both loved, loved, loved The Beatles. We drove everyone on set crazy with that. We were Beatles maniacs and we’d play their music in our trailers. We even had the same favourite Beatle in common—Paul, of course!” (laughs)

Angela Cartwright's statement does not make any sense! That meeting took place the end of Aug. 1964 (the same day Paul met Peggy Lipton) and Angela could have only known about their music for less than a year. You did say she was born in England, so maybe heard of them as early as the fall of 1962, but still could it have been "for so many years?"

"In 1964 I met The Beatles during their first visit to the United States. I went to the Hollywood Bowl Concert, and the next day was invited to meet them. After loving their music for so many years the expression on my face says it all."

P.S. She was almost 12 then, but looks much younger to me.

I understand how what she wrote seems confusing.   She and her sister had been in the United States since she was at least 4, when she got her first role on TV... so I doubt she'd have been listening to them for many years prior to 1964.

What I think she meant to say was: "In 1964 I met The Beatles during their first visit to the United States.  I went to the Hollywood Bowl Concert, and the next day was invited to meet them.  I adored them, so the expression on my face says it all.   As someone who's continued to love their music for many years, I can look back on that day and see how much that meant to me."
