Show was terrific! My favorite setlist of recent times. I hadn't been to a show in a couple of years, so got to hear several songs I hadn't before No one brought on stage. Crowd was *very* welcoming, enthusiastic, and participatory. Loved all the new lighting effects, too!

______________________________________________ Very cool picture of James Burton w/Paul attending last night's show. The 2nd article above describes Paul as...Paul McCartney, former Beatle turned Solo Artist...ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Maybe someone can inform this media outlet that Paul left the Beatles in 1970. Even if you include his Wings' career, Paul has been a Solo artist for like 37 years. If you count leaving the Beatles, it has been 47 years. This is the kind of respect that his Solo Career sometimes gets.

The concert was great. I love seeing Paul live with the vibe of a venue full of people. In Little Rock last year I got teary eyed during "Here Today". Last night I got teary eyed during "Yesterday". The venue was packed. Didn't see an empty seat in the place. Lots of security. No one called up on stage. Bits and pieces of all his songs are running thru my head. Before the concert about 20 of us met for lunch which was really neat. Saw old friends and met new ones. The restaurant has a huge Yellow Submarine cardboard image. Lots of us went for the limo watch. Over an hour in 95 degree heat for a few seconds of seeing Paul up close and waving to us. Well worth it. The lunch and limo watch all add to the whole experience and enjoyment. A bit of excitement during "Hey Jude". A woman two rows in front of me fainted. Medics came and by the time they rolled her out in a wheel chair she was conscious. We all hope she is ok. Right behind me a woman kept spilling her wine. The guy she was with got in a fight with her because she spilt wine on him twice. One woman's sign said "Say hello to baby Jude" and she was pregnant. Her husband then held up a sign and it said "She traveled against doctor's orders". Paul read them out loud plus one that said "Sign my butt". He said something like I'll have to check it out first. My sign said "Let the Good Times (rock and) Roll. Mardi Gras saying but it usually is in French. A new friend turned 64 on Saturday and had front row seats. Had a sign re that but didn't get called up. She said Paul saw her sign and gave thumbs up a couple of times. Paul told us that Nancy was in the audience. Said it was his first time in Bossier City but we were such a great audience he would be back.

_____________________________________________________ Clayton, Great summary of your experience. Paul actually read the "64" sign of someone celebrating their birthday in Tampa. Just wished he would actually play the song. The crowd would eat it up since it has become the new "birthday standard" for Boomers.

I met a woman in the library today. She had on one of Paul's new shirts with Bossier City on the back. Of course I had to say "Hi" to her. We talked about how great the concert was. I told her to come on this site to the Maccaboard. Hopefully she will. I love meeting fellow Paul fans.
