Wonderful Christmastime:
Beautiful!!! Thanks so much for posting!
Wow. And it looks like my "concert partner" (she's a veteran concert goer) from the first show (coincidence really) got footage... 2nd link! I went by myself and ended up seated next to her! I sat beside her on the first night in the 7th row. I heard she got 8th row the second time around. Looked awesome. They also got some couple of really great songs. Wow!

I was so lucky to be there, BOTH times. I had NO intention of going, A) the tickets were gone in thirty-seconds, and b) I have no one to go with. So Wednesday I am watching the six-o-clock news local time. And they say that this concert is being recorded for a future DVD/bluray release. I quickly check Ticketmaster and there ARE seats -- partially obstructed but just 77.10 total; so I grab one and I'm off, just make it to the show at five to eight, luckily he started a half hour late [both nights], about 40 on Thursday. The seat is actually pretty good, Paul's back is towards me, and I can't see the video screens, but there is a smaller screen to look at and I got a chance to see the background goings on; stage hands rushing about; tuning guitars, replacing broken strings. That and I'm pratically overhanging the stage, people on the floor in rows 30 back have far worse seats. You could feel the heat from the pyrotechnics. You can "see" me in a lot of the youtube videos, as I made sure to bring TWO lighters and to fill them and to turn them up. BOTH nights I ended up lending a lighter to a couple beside me; they enjoyed that experience. and they shared their mini binoculars. Thursday I just HAD to go again; tried Tickemaster and NO luck. 5 PM rolls by, and I'm calling scalpers; weasels. One tells me to try stubhub, it's ticketmaster he says, so I do, they have various tickets at just OVER DOUBLE the face value 549.00 [plus all sorts of extra fees totaling nearly 70 dollars for row 17 seat 5 ] I think the ticket cost me nearly 650 by the time everything was said and done. USD$ so I did save a few bucks. So with travel a 5 dollar bottle of water, two t's and a tote bag [40 each and 20] I dropped about 850-75 to see the two concerts. I'd go again in a New York minute. To get snowed on and to witness Wonderful Christmastime...! I turn to the lady next to me and say, 'this must be what it felt like to watch the Ed Sullivan show', she starts to laugh; her husband had just said that to her in her other ear at the same time. I almost lost it when he sang Eleanor Rigby "All the Lonely People." spoke to me. It is FAR past the time that performers put a STOP to ticket brokers and scalpers.

Hey Dean (hope that's okay that I call you that) Loved reading your story. It's nice to see a local up on these boards. I really should have went to both shows, but I did manage to get 7th row on the first show when it sold out so quickly, so it was amazing for me in the first place. My concert for the rumored bluray/DVD release... that would be awesome. I would have to buy a copy of that! I want to see if my sign shows up or something... that would be cool! Hey, on the first night did you see a pink sign? If you did, that was me! I hate scalpers, so I refuse to even pay them. My ticket for 7th row was $650 off of Ticketmaster, so I'm not surprised by the Stubhub thing. It is Ticketmaster doing that, and I think that is really wrong for them to do that, but there seems to be no laws in place to stop them... anyways... I dropped about $750 for the one concert. Wish I managed for the second, but I don't think I would have been able to afford it, though. But my first show ticket was really, really, really good... and it should be. Wonderful Christmastime must have been pretty cool, though. But I got really good seat to the first concert, which is considered a feat in itself though, so I didn't go away empty handed! I wish we could stop the scalpers. Augh.

Must be the first concert in years he dropped Helter Skelter.

I have been to 4 Macca shows in the last 3 years and the 2nd show in Edmonton was easily the best of the bunch for me. All I have to say is WOW!!! The concert was unbelievable, Hearing some rare songs like (things we said today, mull of kintyre, and wonderful Christmas Time) being performed live was the kicker for me. Maybe doing the "hot sound package" is the reason I feel so strongly about this show being my best Macca experience, but honestly the show itself and the enthusiasm of the crowd during the second show was a big factor in my opinion. Paul himself even took notice of the enthusiastic crowd with many acknowledgements and joyus expressions. The crowd actually started "the wave" during the preshow. I'm still on cloud nine as these two amazing shows have not completely sunk in yet. For anyone thinking of doing one of the sound check packages in the future......all I have to say is "run, don't walk to the box office" what an awesome experience. The whole experience is first class and I sure am glad that I was able to do it.

I concur. We heard those songs at Manchester 2011 and the soundcheck is a must-do, at least once. And his voice there was A1, too.
