im not so sure about him playing that song. although unlike a previous poster my objection has nothing to do with the quality of the song...the song is a brilliant piece of work by the way. im pretty certain his 69yr old thin croaky vocal would only sound alarmingly bad on a tough vocal track like 'uncle'... to describe the song as 'bathroom break' material is pretty shocking..christ you could go for a long dump for half of his current set and not really miss a thing....if he was gonna even attempt a rariety like 'uncle albert' ANY true genuine mccartney fan would be glued to his/her seat out of sheer interest and intrigue alone!

Tastes vary, what can I say? "Uncle Albert" is one of very few Paul songs that, if it comes on the radio, I'll change the station rather than subject myself to it. I can't think of a moment in it that isn't annoying. But then, the attraction some fans have for much of "Ram" continues to escape me. I'll take any of Paul's more recent albums any day.

Okay gang... I want to hear "Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey" on the upcoming tour... and so do you!! At least, I"m sure many of you do. And so, I am putting this challenge "out there"... let's make this happen!! We've got the standard route, which has worked somewhat in the past (i.e. Venus & Mars/Rock Show), where we would have a thread on this board simply asking for it. However, I propose we take this request to Paul as directly as we can... through the "You Gave Me the Answer" section of the website. Now, I'm aware that the question is selected for him to answer but still, why don't we all just start repeatedly submitting the following question: Would you consider playing "Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey" on your upcoming OUT THERE tour? I have already sent this question in and I was thinking that if as many of us as possible did so, maybe the question would be selected and our request could possibly be brought to Paul's attention. Thoughts???
