Paul, 30/06 AND 01/07 Horsens, Denmark - POSTPONED
-
Oh Paul - oh why why why why why (what have I done).
-
Just saw that on the "new" site, but it's not very clear exactly what is going on???
-
yes, it's on the offical site now as well..
-
Great! Just great......... I am poor guy and been saving for this concert. Got already plane tickets....they will not refund those. Paul´s bisnes have been pretty bad lately. New site sucks, this sucks....
-
awww...so sorry for all of you people that made big plans already.
-
Things like this make me nervous...it's not like Paul to cancel/postpone shows, is it? With all the recent comments about him appearing ill at the Jubilee and all, I can't help but be a bit worried.

Big plans? This was suppose to be my summer highlight! And what about this site also? Can I cancel my membership?

This must be one of the most appalling things Paul and his team have ever done, the excuse is the most pathetic i've heard in a long time, i'm angry and i'm not even going. When you hear of the money some fans have had to pay out it really is a unforgivable what has been done, this will tarnish his reputation i feel.

Well, some of us DID wonder why these Denmark shows were scheduled out in the middle of summer with nothing else around them. I honestly expected some dates to be announced in Europe for July, maybe Portugal, Spain, Greece, etc. Maybe that was the plan and dates fell through, so it made more sense to maybe do some European dates in the Fall and play Denmark then. But I don't really know!
-
According to the official announcement, the Denmark shows will be rescheduled to coincide with other concerts. I would be pretty upset if I had asked for vacations from work, booked hotels, bought plane tickets, etc.... and then something like this happens a couple of weeks before the concerts.
-
maybe just maybe Paul should announce his tour dates like everyone else and stop keeping his fans guessing when and where he's going to play next

I've never liked how he keeps everyone guessing. It'd be better if he just announced a big bulk of shows. Even if they were pretty spaced apart it's better than announcing them one at a time.

Come now. The concert tickets are refundable. The target audience was people in the Horses Denmark area who can get their money back. And that's most of the ticket holders -- local people driving there. I feel badly for those few people who bought plane tickets but, then, you are assuming a personal and financial risk any time you buy a plane ticket to see a concert. Any number of things (flight delays, cancellations, weather problems) could go wrong.

That official blurb really doesn't say much at all, and I can't help worrying about the real reason for this. Hoping everything is okay with Paul. Of course, I empathize with those who just found out their show has been cancelled/postponed. Guess we'll just have to wait to find out more, but this is very unusual for Paul, isn't it??

Absolutely. And it is a bit worrisome.

This is bad news for McCartney fans in Denmark. But it could be worse. Read below about a Pavarotti concert in Canada, where the promoter had to get on stage in front of 14,000 fans and announce the man would not be singing, since he had a "cold." At least McCartney is giving a head's up to reschedule some shows. And perform in Denmark! http://www.thespec.com/whatson/article/277142--a-valentine-s-date-with-pavarotti

Particularly with the reason they gave...to make it easier for Paul and his crew? Tell that to the folks with flights, trains, hotels etc booked. Ridiculous.

This is definitely not our Paulie's best month.

Seriously. I feel bad for him. And I feel bad for the disappointed fans. But sh-t happens, and I don't see the need to jump all over Paul for someone's risky decision to buy a non-refundable ticket to see a concert in another country. Most of the disappointed fans are from the Horsens area and they'll get their tickets refunded.

It's pretty poor reasoning, an announcement 2 weeks before the show that basically says "we're gonna screw some fans so we don't make things to difficult for us" Surely they knew this when they scheduled the shows?
