I posted in the Candlestick thread that, if you bought your ticket on a credit card, you might be able to get a refund from the credit card company. You are right that refunds are in order, but hold on to your tickets for validation by the promoter or the credit card company, or, if relevant, Stub Hub. You'll have to contact them to find out.

Wow that's terrible they did that to those fans especially if they paid for parking and for the ticket itself! They should get their money back for it. it's only fair!

How did it get to be 10,000? Everything I have read posted here and other news sites specify it was approximately 6,000. What's to keep someone who attended from trying to scam the promoter/city by saying they weren't able to attend when they actually did attend?

I was thinking the same thing, how did it suddenly go to 10,000? I certainly didn't see THAT many seats empty before the concert started and I was looking around at the crowd from the floor. I'm not saying I don't believe there were people that weren't able to make it to the concert because I know there were, I'm just saying 10,000 sounds like an exaggeration.

I agree it didn't look like 10,000 no-shows. Original report was 3,000, not that I absolutely believe that either, but seems closer to what it looked like to me. Actual was probably somewhere in between. And that would include those that didn't make it because of traffic, parking, ??, etc. plus tickets that weren't resold by "scalpers" both legal and not.

What Paul should do for anyone who can prove they had a ticket and couldn't get in is offer a cool little intimate show just for this group....I would love to see that happen for you guys (more so than just a refund - i would still feel very empty if that were me and I missed the show, but got those few dollars back in my pocket)

Oh same here! I'm traveling in October for a week so no Paul concerts for me. But I can't complain since I'll be in Liverpool!

It would be the right thing to do. Paul should be raising hell about this injustice to his fans.

So as any Paul fan knows, Paul closed down Canclestick park, the final venue the Beatles played in an official tour, and it was an amazing concert. Now if we look at the last historic Beatles venue Paul was at, Candlesticks opposite, Shea, the first American venue, not only was there an extremely successful live album of his inaugural performance of Shea's successor, there also was a live album of Billy Joel closing the old Shea. That in mind, I am extremely hopeful that there will be a Live From Candlestick Park album coming out. Any thoughts as to that happening?
