I doubt they would have a case to sue anyone. This is a major stadium who hosted baseball and football games which are bigger crowds than the McCartney concert. The reason I moved hotels from center city is because folks from the area like Harley and others said how horrible traffic was at this venue. Probably one of the reasons it's being torn down. It's definitely sad that folks never made it in. As far as getting out, it took almost 2 hours for the vehicle I was in to get out. But I'm not complaining about that at all. Being from Jersey, old Giants Stadium was tough to get out of as well. BTW Harley, that hotel that you were going to stay at, was like 100 feet from the one I stayed at in Daly city

I'm happy to be of some help..... .. thought of going back to Dalt City- but I had to get home a few days later-- I took a bus, to the train station,,, so that part worked out via the city center....I didn't care bout waiting the 2 hrs to get out of there either...

If anyone was traveling from any part of the Bay Area -- they should know how congested it becomes trying to get to the Stick--- on top of that,... leaving at Rush hour - info was posted to take mass transit.. a lot of folks did.. Paul McCartney, shouldn't be blamed for parking nightmares.. also worth noting: people knew this was a historic event - they should have planned accordingly-- I read where people were leaving around rush hour.. that becomes a snails pace in its self... ops: I find it hard to believe some were waiting for 7 hours in their cars --- people can't expect to eave last minute expecting to get to a huge event ie: stadium with holds 50k fans---on time~ it's really a huge risk to drive your vehicle -- for huge events....

But I think it's important to note that not everyone could make accommodations to take mass transit, harley. Also, not everyone could off of work/other commitments in order to get there in enough time. I think it's fairly clear that the parking situation was a disaster- both coming in and leaving. It wasn't right to let people who didn't have tickets to just pay the parking fee and camp out to listen to the show. It also was stupid to not adequately regulate WHERE people were parking. I was surprised when I got there and they told me to park anywhere. At other concerts I've been to, they have parking attendants who tell you where to park, so that there are enough spaces for everyone.

I didn't mind the long wait to get out of there after the concert...and not minded getting home at 3AM...it's not like I was going to get any sleep being so hyped up after the concert. Still buzzing....looking at photos, videos, anything I can see. Sad note is I lost my ticket, I always save those from my Paul concerts. HAPPY memories.

I heard about the debacle that took place with getting in and out of Candlestick Park for the concert from several people, and I am sorry it happened to you and many others. But Paul has NOTHING to do with the logistics at these venues. He is there only to perform. The venue management is solely responsible for the parking situation, and getting people in and out. That is really the only place you could or should complain to. If someone never got in they should at least demand a full refund from the ticket seller. But if it was bought from a reseller, or if you used the ticket, then there's probably nothing that can be done.

Actually, they CAN complain here. You are correct, Paul is not responsible for the parking catastrophe. However, he should be concerned because it is an event that is attached to his name, like it or not. And he has a certain amount of influence to perhaps get things moving in the right direction, ie "A lot of my fans are unhappy and need to be made happy because of this." Tickets are scanned these days, so it would be pretty easy to determine if a ticket was used or not. Heck, even a comment from Paul on his web site addressing the issue would go a long way. But it is pretty strange to hear nothing, and see him move on while 6,000 people are left holding unused tickets. There could be a lawsuit coming if they unite and decide to go after whoever took their money but did not deliver the product. And whoever received that money will be liable.

Hey Martinez, I was born in Albuquerque, was just there this summer, also went to Rosewell and Carlsbad!!! Who-ever was in charge of parking is partially responsible by letting 2000 or more people to pay for parking and were not ticket holders!!!

Cool to hear from a native born Albuquerquean! I was also born in Albuquerque! Fab! Yeah, NOT cool selling parking spots to people who just wanted to "listen" and not attend. They should have made people show tickets to park.

Hey folks, Reading the posts here about how fans "should have know how bad traffic is at Candlestick", etc. I wanted to clarify that the 6,000 - 10,000 fans that were prevented from seeing the concert last week DID know that traffic would be a challenge but let me say AGAIN, that this was not just about bad traffic -- the concert promoter failed on epic proportions!! They had NO traffic management -- They had ONLY 1 entrance open to the Venue -- They did NOT make sure that only ticket holders entered the parking lot -- They refused & denied disability placard access -- They created severe traffic congestion that endangered EVERY concert attendee if there had been an emergency. These are AMPLE requirements for a class action lawsuit against the Promoter and the City of San Francisco who invited Paul to play at Candlestick and did nothing to address the challenges faced at this venue. The lawsuit is being pursued on behalf of the thousands of ticket holders as we speak. So fellow fans, please stop lecturing or blaming those of us that were denied the wonderful experience that so many of you got to enjoy... we're still hurting deeply over this and would appreciate your compassion not your judgement. No one here is blaming the fans who had tickets and were unjustly denied getting in. That is a terrible injustice for sure. But those implying that somehow Paul is responsible or that airing grievances here is going to solve anything is just not so. I am glad that a lawsuit against the city and Candlestick management is being pursued. That is putting the blame squarely where it should be. I hope you win!

Thanks Randy -- Actually I read a number of comments here saying that we should have left earlier for the show and known there would be traffic etc. and I personally spent more than 4 hours stuck 1 mile away from the venue and then got told there was no parking and to go home after paying $1,000.00 for tickets. Also, none of us blame PAUL for this debacle but we'd love for him to know how many of his loyal fans got denied access to this show so he NEVER uses Another Planet Entertainment for any of his shows in the future. Best, -Mette
