I was actually at that show and it was incredible. I was shocked he made appearance but supposedly it was a pretty well known rumor that he would play that night. I got to go because a girl I met broke up with her boyfriend a few weeks before the show and had extra ticket. She asked me if I wanted to go and I obviously said yes !! We had a great time and both amazed that we saw Lennon in addition to Elton, this was the first Beatle I ever saw live. ( saw Harrison a month later on Dark Horse tour). We would up dating each other for a year and broke up, reconnected about 10 years ago on FB. Sadly, she passed away suddenly a little over a year ago.
