“Paul McCartney’s stunning 2018 Cavern Club performance to be broadcast on BBC One"
Words can't describe how happy this makes me hearing this! Been dying for this to come out since being at the show & I don't know why it took so long but happy it's on the way. I've heard it's going to be the full show aired on Christmas Day at 23:30 so it'll be a late one! Hoping to spot myself too & glad I can relive the memory in full

Sounds like video since Gordy is hoping to spot himself during the broadcast. Would love to be able to see this in U.S. as well!

Yes it's the video showed on the BBC 1 channel If it's put on BBC iPlayer after the broadcast then it'll definitely be shared for others to watch it! Hopefully it'll get an official release after that for everyone

So is this available anywhere outside UK?

Based on information on the site setlist.fm, it seems that this broadcast version is missing "Letting Go","Come On To Me" "Things We Said Today" "Confidante" and "I Wanna Be Your Man". Perhaps they trimmed it for time down to an hour and a half? Perhaps someday it will be released on dvd with the complete show? But it was great to watch!!
I think I read that there was a heat wave in Liverpool that week. Paul remarked on occasion about the heat in that room in the Cavern.

It was one of the hottest days of the year that day That basement gets hot pretty quickly but on that day it was sweltering! When I mentioned this gig to Paul at the Grandude signing the first thing he said to me was how hot & sweaty it was. Just look at the credits with us leaving, we're all drenched

Glad you saw my post, Gordy! I've enjoyed reading your account of being there. How great that you spoke to Paul about it!!
So it does seem to be the case that they had to omit some songs for the telecast?

Aw thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed reading it! I was so chuffed about that. Cause beforehand I was thinking what on earth could I say that he hasn't heard as many times & then thought that this was the perfect thing to say to him
I hope those songs have just been omitted from the official broadcast just for runtime reasons etc. Hopefully if they release it on dvd or something it'll be the full thing

^ Gordy, were you able to see yourself in the crowd? I watched it last night - Paul was in fine form & good voice!

Yes I was able to spot myself a fair few times. If you watch 1985 & look to the right you'll see me jumping very highly

It's hard to imagine this won't be released on Bluray ? Massive oppurtunity missed otherwise !
