I'm really looking forward to the release of the album.
-
I have some samples in the McCartney 3 thread.

Oops. Sorry, I made a mistake. I meant to say. Damn. I got double-crossed lol.

Yes. Maybe. I don't know actually
It would be nice anyway. -

You said "Gosh, I got doubled." You meant to say you created a "duplicate" thread (double-crossed is something completely different = double croise) but actually that's okay. Maybe we should have a separate thread for this album of covers of McCartney III.

In fact, I wanted to say that Obuu24 was thinking about the same thing as me. But before me I thought I was the first for once
But otherwise, I agree. It's good that the two conversation threads are separate. -
I wasn't going to bother as I tend to hate cover versions. Although the foobfighters cover version of band on the run is superb. But I noticed some of the tracks are described as remixes and I do like remixes of Paul's songs. So I have bit the bullet and ordered a copy.

Most other music pages are keeping everything in one thread.

Well, the Mod hasn't merged them, so I guess she thinks it's okay. ️

Yes, I can see that.

I am not a fan of covers of The Beatles and Paul solo songs. (Unless it is me ha ha ha j/k).
Thank goodness for cover songs on The Beatles channel on Sirus Radio: it allows me to easily turn off the station or change the channel.
the odds are good I will not rush out and buy this. If someone gives it to me as a gift I will give it a listen or two. -
I can't imagine a less interesting idea for an album.

I totally agree and actually think a cover version of your most recent album realeased three months ago is pretty sad, just my opinion.

Mine too. it would be one thing if a group of artists just spontaneously decided to do it, but MPL obviously has their "fingers in the pie" with this one. smh

At least with Thrillington he had the decency to wait six years before releasing it !!

I expected to be dazzled by Beck being involved in this, but I'm not getting it. It's a bit funkier and maybe more danceable and all, but Paul could have done that himself. What exactly is Beck's input here???? Of all the people involved in the remix of the album, it was Beck's involvement/contribution that I was looking forward to the most. This doesn't do much....for me.
